Of course it ain't out yet so it's just based on what I've seen up till now. I'm still looking forward to seeing it I suppose but I'm very unsure on it to be honest. Here's a couple things that are just on my mind about it. 1. What's it even about? I really don't even know. So I just watched the four main trailers for it. The Official Comic Con Trailer 2016: Batman's putting a team together because he thinks an enemy is coming. Ok. Trailer #1: Batman is putting a team together because some enemy has come. Cue a lot of action shots with them fighting alien robots....who they are? The Official Comic Con Trailer 2017: So now the main villain finally appears. Says something about the world will fall. Who is this villain and why exactly does he even want to ruin the world? Office Heroes Trailer: So from all I can tell, it involves Batman putting a team together to stop some villain and his alien robot army because he wants to ruin the world? Because... 2. The colours So everyone complained about how they muted the colours for Man of Steel and Batman vs Superman. This time around the costumes have at least kept their colour.....but now they've gone and made most of the backgrounds grey. If it ain't grey clouds in night scenes, it's the grey pub Batman finds Aquaman in, the grey house that Barry Allen is living in, the grey tunnels that the Justice League seem to be fighting in. There's a lot of grey and smoke in these trailers. Even in the posters Again grey clouds. 3. Lack of Superman It's so weird not seeing him in this. I know he's in it but seeing the trailers and the posters and him not being involved just does not seem right. Green Lantern is one thing but Superman is the most important member. It's like Captain America not being in the first Avengers movie but worse. From the very beginning I've just had the sense that something is badly missing. 4. Cyborg He looked pretty poor. I'm not overly concerned about this because usually the final product looks better than in the trailers but it's not looking that good so far. 5. The Flash I hope he's not just going to be the comic relief. He made jokes in the comics but it wasn't a constant thing. He was never made out to be a joke or a coward. He's pretty serious and one of the most powerful of the lot. I don't mind him being jokey but I hope there's more to him than that. So yeah I wanna like it but I'm struggling. It looks a bit dull, there doesn't seem to be much in the way of story and it feels way too soon.

It's been said before, now it has to be said again, Superman never should've died in BvS. It's like being excited to go to a concert, and then you find out one of the lead singers is not performing. Even if survived in BvS, I still think it would a bad idea to kill him off because that would still be too early for the Death of Superman.

In the prediction thread someone mentioned Superman coming back evil. That reminded me of the scene where Flash warns Batman that he was right all along about Superman and that it had something to do with Lois Lane. Well she is in this movie. I wonder if she will die which will cause Superman to come back but he won't save the day like everyone expects. If there's some plot twist then I could probably understand and forgive them killing him off. I doubt it will happen though. Then again we've seen that little of the plot and the villain it could be possible that it's some Transformers 3 kinda bait where Steppenwolf wont actually even be the main villain in the movie but Superman will be instead.

I suppose you have not seen the 6 "leaked" scenes plus the one superbly written Bruce reflection scene, or you would not have made most of this thread.

Pretty simple The colors......yeah they over saturatred some scenes and toyed with black levels.... not my favorite

I'm looking forward to this movie even though I agree with pretty much everything in the OP. But I know what I am getting into. At this point in movie history watching an MCU movie is like going to the World Series and watching the game from great seats. Watching a DCEU movie is like going to a local minor league team game and sitting on a folding lawn chair to watch. It can still be an enjoyable experience if you take it for what it is and understand that there is a qualitative difference between the 2.

Well what I got from the trailer is that Steppenwolf shows up and attacks Atlantis and Themyscira. Why? Something to do with the mother boxes. Batman done fuck up and got Superman killed, so now he has to put together a team which judging by the trailer Wonder Woman ends up leading (which I don't mind, she seems more suitable for the job than the others). They get together and fight Steppenwolf and his army of flying alien robot monkey's. Superman eventually comes back from the dead and probably rips Steppenwolf in half (hopefully) and the film will either end with a wedding or a Darkseid Easter Egg!

It will likely be a deus ex machina event, but I hope a fun one like Vader appearing in RO at the end.
I hope it happens late in the game as I enjoy them to grow up without the god - it's like the kids having to act without their parents. It's a good concept for proper drama and character arcs (Bruce realizing taht SM was more human than him and let WW lead). When Superman is around the threat is never real. I want to see them form the team and be at least slightly vulnerable and challenged.
Darkseid will be the threat for when Supes is fully around again.

He definitely shouldn't have died.DC/Warner hasn't done enough to warrant killing off a major character. Even including doomsday had little meaning/impact.

I suppose you have not seen the 6 "leaked" scenes plus the one superbly written Bruce reflection scene, or you would not have made most of this thread.
I actually made it after watching the clips. Which were ok, I wasn'toverly impressed, I did like the use of the classic Batman theme in the one clip though. The Wonder Woman clip I didn't think was very good though. A tad cringey actually. Otherwise fine but I'm not getting much of a sense of what it's about.

It seems way overproduced and not genuine. Do any of those scenes look like they're taking place in a world that actually exists?
It just gives me the feeling that it's made because they know so many will show up to see it regardless and for no other reason. There's no heart in it.
For those reasons I have no interest.

The Wonder Woman clip I didn't think was very good though. A tad cringey actually. Otherwise fine but I'm not getting much of a sense of what it's about. I re-watched it 3 times. The re-use or variation of the 89 Elfman theme was good, though I expect more than just a remixed rehash here. The WW clip was great, especially her believer line in connection with her theme (her arc in WW) - and it played full color and in bright daylight (the gangster was the Rose Bolton actor). And it's actually a blessing not to be spoiled the full story, we get the simplistic tropes: Batman has realized what a SoB he was ("he was more human than me" monologue) and forms the team, some do not really want to join but do in the end; there is a invasion of some weird CGI Viking-mummified-zombie guy with demon-like critters (as seen in BvS). Superman is still dead, and the kid must grow up alone. I actually think the latter is brilliant as with god-mod Supes stories tend to get boring and without challenges. We might get first critical impressions tomorrow.

I have said this before, and, I will say it again.
I have waited my entire lifetime for a "SUPERFRIENDS" movie.
I would not miss this for all the tea in China.

That is so clever and so funny! Tristan is so smart. (sarcasm) Meanwhile the movie is a huge success at the box office, with critics, and with audiences. So I hope calling the movie by the wrong name really makes him feel better.
