Everybody talks about who's Indy's best woman? In my opinion, only one actually counts, Marion. Willy was absolutely useless and what was the other's name? Elsa? Ursula? She doesn't count because she was never on his side.
What do you think?

Marion - Perfect match for Jones.
Elsa - Ultimately villainous but her conflict over it was interesting.
Willie - Useless but I'd be lying if I said she didn't make me laugh.

Marion in Raiders was great, Marion in Crystal Skull was ridiculous.
Never understood all the hate for Willy, she was fun and it was sort of refreshing to see a typical "damsel in distress" female lead again instead of the "I can take care of myself" types that were already starting to become standard even in 1981.
Elsa was disposable, everybody just wanted to see Indy interact with his dad.

I can honestly say that I've liked all of them except Marion's appearance in Crystal Skull. It seemed forced and cliched, but she was great in Raiders. Some pretty good female leads have graced the Indiana Jones franchise thus far.

Anyone else think it would be interesting, IF a future installment ever does get made and they bring Sallah back, for him to have a daughter (Sallah, I mean) who is his constant companion that travels with him, knows all about the digging, history, etc. that Sallah knows, and still has that attitude the kids had when they saved Indy in RAIDERS despite her now being in her late 20s-somewhere in her 30s? She wouldn't have to be 100% "just a female Sallah", but I think it would be cool if they had one of Sallah's kids and for it to be a daughter, and it could just be me, all alone with that opinion.
Marion (esp. in RAIDERS) was always my favorite, she could be helpful and she was smart/educated enough to be able to hold a real conversation with Indy- or even Henry Jones Sr.- and she is able to handle herself a bit. With no weapons, out in a desert, she figures out she can try to win a drinking game with the bad guy and possibly escape. I never cared for the TEMPLE girl, couldn't even remember her name, and I didn't think she had much chemistry with Indy- unlike Marion. The Nazi chic was interesting, but the previous poster was right- everyone just wanted to watch Indy and his dad bicker and work together, so she was filler between cool Dr.Jones Sr & Jr. scenes.
