Fujimoto is a great character, but he does totally look like he stepped straight out of Beetlejuice or Big Fish (both great Burton films):

My favourite Miyazaki film is probably Howls Moving Castle. I'd say it's his best told mature romance. Howl and Sophie make a wonderful couple.

My favorite film actually directed by Miyazaki is Kiki's Delivery Service. My favorite Ghibli film overall is Whisper of the Heart. My least favorite Ghibli film is Grave of the Fireflies, possibly the most overrated animated film of all time. Hopefully that covers all questions brought up in this topic.

My favorite by Miyazaki were Kiki’s Delivery Service and Porco Rosso. I love their bittersweet depictions of adolescence and old age. For a similar portrayal of early adulthood, although on a more realist vein, my favored by Takahata would be Only Yesterday. Whisper of the Heart is my favorite Ghibli feature from any other director. It’s so sad Kondou died so early!

Princess Mononoke, I loved the animation, the characters, the score, and really everything it's my favorite animated film of all time. Honorable mentions would be: Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle and My Neighbor Totoro.

Spirited Away is by far my favorite. It's a masterpiece. Everything about it is beautiful: the story, the characters, the visuals, the score. I've seen it in theaters three times over three different releases, and I plan on watching it every time it's re-released. But to be fair, I can probably find something wonderful to say about all of Studio Ghibli's releases. Agreed. All movies from Studio Ghibli are great, but Spirited Away is my favorite.

From the few of his films I seen it would have to be Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind.

Favorite Ghibli - The Red Turtle, if it counts [co-production], otherwise The Tale of Princess Kaguya
Favorite Miyazaki - Probably Princess Mononoke. Also really like The Wind Rises Ponyo is his weakest IMO
