I am looking for 1977 TV-movies and TV-specials on DVD. Any you'd recommend?
Note: these can be from any country, but if they aren't in English they need English subtitles.

The Rankin Bass Hobbitt cartoon was a pretty good made for Television movie that is now on DVD. LOL, overall, I can stomach that better than the bloated Hobbitt trilogy!

It Happened One Christmas - Great TV movie remake of "It's a Wonderful Life" from 1977. The George Bailey character is actually a woman (Marlo Thomas plays "Mary" Bailey).

A bit long, but JESUS OF NAZARETH.
Shorter, there is COUNT DRACULA (1977) Shot in the BBC-TV style of taped interior/filmed exterior, it is probably (with several minor changes) the most faithful adaptation of Bram Stoker's novel.
THE MAN IN THE IRON MASK with Richard Chamberlain.
THE NUTCRACKER with Mikhail Baryshnikov.
SIMPLE GIFTS: SIX TALES OF CHRISTMAS- A PBS special of six (actually seven if one counts the Maurice Sendak opening) differently-animated Christmas stories. One story is about the Great Frost storyline in Virginia Woolf's ORLANDO. Another is about the Christmas Truce in 1914.

If you like horror movies there's Snowbeast. Just out of curiosity, why does it have to be from 1977?

Raid on Entebbe was pretty good as far as war movies go. Particularly for a television movie at that time.
