Because that argument has merit to it. Wonder Woman was able to cut Doomsday hand off with her sword and could take a beating from him and seemed to enjoy it, so there's no reason why she could not have been the one to kill him. But because of bad writing, the script called for Superman to have a totally unearned death. My argument has more merit to it. Superman, Supergirl, Flash, Kid Flash, X-Men Quicksilver, and every other speedster would've knocked the bullets away or picked the bullets out of the air. Give me another example (movies, TV, or comics) in which a speedster stopped a barrage of bullets by using his back as a shield. MCU Quicksilver is the only speedster in the history of comics, TV, and movies who is slower than a speeding bullet. As for dying a hero, like I said, had MCU Quicksilver done it right, then no one would've died. But MCU Quicksilver's stupidity and recklessness cost Wanda her only brother. Then again, the Avengers have always been reckless and endangering people's lives unnecessarily. We saw that in The Incredible Hulk with Banner going to the university during the day, when there were plenty of civilians around, and endanger the lives of all those civilians. We also saw that in The Avengers, when Black Widow admitted to Banner that they knew where Banner had been hiding the whole time but they didn't come in and apprehend him. So they knew where a guy who was capable of turning into a huge green monster that has attacked civilians in the past and has killed several US soldiers was hiding yet they made no attempt to bring him in and just allowed him to roam around and thus endangered the lives of civilians who didn't know there was a potential monster living among them. And we saw that in Civil War when people in the building who weren't in any danger from Crossbones and wouldn't have died if the Avengers hadn't been so reckless to chase Crossbones through a crowded market. Such recklessness by the Avengers, endangering civilian lives and getting civilians killed, is equivalent to armed robbers taking hostages inside a bank and the police captain saying "So what if they're holding hostages? Let's just swarm the bank with armed SWAT and get in a shootout with the armed robbers inside the bank while the hostages are there." That's reckless behavior which endangers lives and gets innocent people killed. And that's what the Avengers do all the time. Contrary to how X-Men portrayed his character, Quicksilver is nowhere near as fast as Flash and is even OP'ed in X-Men. Also, the Quinjet was firing a GAU-17/A Gatling gun. A minigun that fires between 2000-6000 rounds per minute. Now I just told you that Quicksilver is nowhere near as fast as the Flash, so you really think he could have stopped a couple hundred bullets in the air? If you had any concept of what a sacrifice is, it's hardly ever premeditated. It's always an impulsive decision without any thinking or doubt, like stepping in front of someone to take a bullet or a soldier jumping on a grenade to smother the explosion as much as he can to protect his teammates. If you truly can't understand that, then just stop and shut up.

Why the fuck are we even comparing quicksilver - a superhero so trivial that I often forget to capitalize his name - with the almighty Wonder Woman - storied icon of the feminist movement who has all his powers and much more?
Are DCEU fans this fucking thirsty for a win? Hee hee hee...

But that doesn't make them any less of heroes, and even makes them more relatable and interesting because they're flawed and not perfect. If they're not going to die or not take any damage and not lose at all or be compromised at all by the antagonist, then they're boring and uninteresting to watch.

Quicksilver is nowhere near as fast as Flash So Quicksilver was really weak, just like the rest of the Avengers Nah, just not a perfect all powerful character who the writers were too afraid to properly endanger. Like Wonder Woman.

When you're done scraping DC-Fan off of your shoe, can you ask him why the DCEU decided to double down on its mom fixation for Justice League? Steppenwolf is a momma's boy for sure. Rumor has it, he wants to get at her box. Hee hee hee... Maybe they'll go for the mom trinity, Aquaman did say that his moms dipped out on him. Hee hee hee...

Take away Diana's bracelets and she'd be screwed in the bullet-blocking department.

Take away Diana's bracelets and she'd be screwed in the bullet-blocking department. The writers and director aren't willing to put their heroes in REAL danger in their movies.

Probably because they're afraid it'll be sexist to beat her up. But if anything, it's even more sexist to not. I'd much prefer at the end of the fight she's in, have her be dirty, a few scratches on armor, even damaged, maybe a little bloodied. Just look at Sarah Connor in Terminator 2. She was a mess by the end, but still badass. It's just more badass looking and shows even Diana is flawed. Even the Germans managed to wound her, so she's not invulnerable, and someone else equal to her should be able to do some damage to her. Christ, at least tussle up her hair a little bit. It's ridiculous that it's always perfect throughout her films.

Don't see it happening.

Clark didn't even look that bloodied when he was lying dead/comatose.

But pretty much all of the JL were squeaky clean after their fights. Even Flash who got some parademon gook on him was clean in the next scene.

That depends, is her name Martha? Just realized how lazy they were in naming their mothers Martha. I bet they were sitting around like "What should we name his mother... Mother... Mother... Martha." It's like naming his sister Cicely.
