If you were on Team Arrow, and Oliver, et al spied on you, particularly after getting a tip that one of you definitely sold you out, would you have the same response Dinah or Curtis did? I find myself a little incredulous, I mean, I like my privacy, relatively speaking, but I'm not a masked vigilante, working with a team of vigilantes, who by virtue of being masked vigilantes are living a life of closely guarded secrets and lies.
It's kinda like being a spied, I would imagine, sans the legitimacy of being sanctioned by some type of recognized authority; in either case, trust in the field is crucial up to a point, but invariably being able to verify and affirmative that trust at any given time is also just as important, because if you're going to put your life and secrets into another person's hands, you need to take precautions to ensure they won't betray that trust. It may not make for the easiest relationship as "friends", but it beats getting stabbed in the back, figuratively or literally.

I would understand it I think, like you said someone was betraying the team, another was lying to the team, hell Diggle lied to the team, Felicity lied to the team, giving each other space in keeping their secrets has bit them in the arse so many times, so it's really childish of them to assume the "were a team you should trust us" attitude.
Also they "spied" on them briefly, it's not like they have been watching them for weeks or anything, I mean from what the showed they tracked their phones gps and when something looked out of place they checked local cctv, which just makes the team look worse, the show does this a lot by giving characters potential valid points but fucking up in putting that across.
The only one who I could see having a point is Curtis because he was their friend long before a team mate, he got a spot because of that friendship, Dinah & Rene on the other hand got spots out of the blue, Rene's proven himself repeatedly to be a terrible choice maker, anytime he makes one he fucks up almost, Dinah got recruited amidst a revenge fuelled killing spree iirc in memory of the guy who turns out is alive and a murderous lunatic, so again judgement in question.
What made me laugh is Curtis saying he's still going to work with Felicity because yeah that makes sense, I mean it's not like you just had a pop at her for being overbearing, selfish and controlling as a business partner, now you learn she doesn't trust you fully and willingly "spied" on you...oh yeah that's the person I want to build a company with, dear god.
