8/10. Agreed. I hope they revive that scrapped animated series.

An 8/10, I thought it was great. Loved that it focused on the Theme Park again.

8/10. One of the better sequels and seeing a full fledge working park was actually pretty awesome!

I've only seen it once and I gave it a 6.5/10 (voted 7/10) then. I do have to rewatch it, it seems like a movie that could improve upon a rewatch.

8/10. This is the sequel we should have gotten to begin with. Its only meaningful for the dinosaurs to run amuck if there's something man made to break free from. The whole point of the book and first film is "humanity's arrogance bringing their own downfall." The first two sequels are just more fallout of the arrogance.

Better than III. But worse than TLW. Trained raptors and the motive to train them was ridiculous. And so was the notion that they need to create dino hybrids with active camouflage to attract people to the park.
The fact that I was expecting the T-Rex and the raptor to fist bump in the end tells me that I shouldn't take the franchise seriously.

OK, watching Jurassic World again on TV. What’s weird is I saw the original again recently as well, and that one held up, while this one, which I loved in theaters, doesn’t seem quite as good as I remember it—too much CGI, rapid editing, action scenes not enough sparing shots of the dinosaurs and suspense sequences. When you see the dinos too much, seeing them loses its sense of wonder—we become too used to miracles, to quote Ebert on Star Wars.
It’s still fun, lots of fun, but it’s just not as good as I remember it. Also, my TV screen seems too small for it—it’s made for a huge screen, maybe IMAX, maybe 3-D. I don’t think I saw it in IMAX or 3-D (I usually hate 3-D, and I don’t usually pay for IMAX).
And I keep saying, “In real life, x wouldn’t happen.” I mean, the whole premise is absurd (c’mon, the liability—the lawsuits!), but the first movie lets me suspend my disbelief, while with this one I just keep on saying “this wouldn’t happen.”

Also: politicidal, I think you said somewhere that Chris Pratt would be a good choice if they rebooted Indiana Jones. I see that (there’s this interaction between him and Bryce Dallas Howard that really reminded me of Temple of Doom)—I hadn’t thought of it when I saw the movie at the theater—but I got some strange Quint (from Jaws) feeling from him. Not entirely sure why, as they look and sound nothing alike. Just a vibe.

Also: politicidal , I think you said somewhere that Chris Pratt would be a good choice if they rebooted Indiana Jones. Right now, he is the single only choice for a reboot series if it ever comes to that. Though like Ford, he ain't getting younger.

4/10 - really poor attempt at "rebooting" life into the franchise by just giving us more of what we've already seen. I know, genetically created dinosaurs isn't a storyline with much flexibility in it. Also, the idea that this second park got built after the first disaster is ludicrous.
