Perusing the internet, I came across this little nugget of useless, yet fascinating, information: Dill pickles are being sold at movie theater snack stands in Texas as treats to enjoy during the movie. Why Texas, or is this a thing in other places too? I had no idea pickles were so huge in Texas! Are there any Texans on here who can elaborate?
What about other regional snack foods? I have been to the movies in a few other countries but haven't noticed anything unusual.

Well, Pulp Fiction claimed you can get a glass of beer in movie theaters in Amsterdam. I know this was true in some of their theaters in the 1990s. Not sure about now, though. All it takes is one idiot to throw a glass at someone to ruin a good thing for others.

Well, Pulp Fiction claimed you can get a glass of beer in movie theaters in Amsterdam. I know this was true in some of their theaters in the 1990s. Not sure about now, though. All it takes is one idiot to throw a glass at someone to ruin a good thing for others. Beer makes me wanna pee, and I hate leaving during the show.  |

I don't even drink beer, but I was curious to know if what they claimed was true. At the theater I visited, you could buy a glass of beer in the lobby (before, during and after the show), but you couldn't take the glass in the auditorium. There were plastic cups available for that. |

Can't say I've noticed pickles for sale at movie concession stands in many a year, but I'm sure somewhere in Texas you can still get a pickle to snack on during your feature. And nachos, pizza, plus more traditional movie snacks like popcorn, hotdogs, candy, etc. I'll report in if I ever see tamales or burritos at the concession stand.
