Tonight's episode "Exodus" has the title hero trying to stop the deportation of 100 of registered Aliens. Wait ... Supergirl is an alien Supergirl is a news reporter Supergirl works at a place that covers current political issues I must be missing something ... because that is political from day one. What would you have her do ... be a weather girl ... then help little old ladies to cross the street?

That show has been leftist feminazi garbage from the beginning.

Sigh... Why does everything have to be political? Can't they just tell a good story?

Yes, but after 2016, I kind of need a break from politics. I keep up with what's happening in the world through any venues I have at my disposal, but right now, I just want my fiction to not be politically-charged.

I don't care if it's MCU for you or XCU for me or -- well, nobody's watching the DCEU but if anyone wants to, whatever: we all need a little escapism from the embarrassing, awful trainwreck of the last sixteen months.

I'm not surprised. Supergirl has been tackling PC issues left and right since it first started. I commend them for tackling PC issues but I just wish they'd stop being so heavy handed about it. A little subtlety would be nice.

Blackish can and did get really political right after the election and I loved every moment of it. They were right on the mark.

What do you mean "gets" political? It doesn't stop with the agenda pushing.

Sigh... Why does everything have to be political? Can't they just tell a good story? Why can't a political story be a good one? When it is either constant as in Supergirl or biased as in Supergirl and not even handled subtlety as in Supergirl it gets boring fast. As in Supergirl.

Blackish can and did get really political right after the election and I loved every moment of it. They were right on the mark. The scene where Dre leaped up on his soapbox (again) and pooped out a "oh lawd I done hads it so rough" speech (again) and every character in the room LITERALLY dropped their heads in "shame" was one of the most heavy handed cringe worthy moments of idiocy it's ever been my misfortune to watch. I guess it allowed brain dead white kids that NEVER interact with anyone but other brain dead white kids to feign enlightenment without actually doing anything. Other than that it was a huge pile of shit.
I like the show because it does point out the many foibles and failures in the black community almost as much as it hammers home it's "white folks is evil" message but it has gotten too far away from actual funny material this season. They need to tighten up.

Can't wait for Luthor to run for president in the DCEU.
