That's terrific by any movie's standards, but especially for the horror genre. This is going to have really strong legs.

If this was reversed and it was a white dude kidnapped by a black family would you SJWs love it so much?

Most films with a RT score over 90% in my experience have been very overrated. Logan is the only film in recent memory where I agree with the critic score. Interstellar at a mere 71% is bizarre, it's an exceptional film and better than any superhero film they've lapped up. Guardians and John Wick should be in the 50 percentile range. Any average movie gets hailed a masterpiece nowadays.

John Wick and Guardians have their faults as a film. John Wick to me was just meh. But, in the end I would recommend the film. That would reflect a positive score on RT even though I would give it a 6/10 overall. I like using a combination of rating, like the audience score or Cinemascore, to determine how good it could possibly be.

No. But I do put it above most of the horror I've seen in a theater the last couple years. Yeah, that's not much. Cure for Wellness, Conjuring... It is put together well. It's not doing the drop like a lot of horror. It doesn't appear it will be gone in a month It's already practically at the top of Blumhouse’s films. 1 Split - $136,502,225 2 Get Out - $123,628,145 3 Paranormal Activity - $107,918,810 4 Paranormal Activity 3 - $104,028,807 5 Paranormal Activity 2 - $84,752,907 6 Insidious Chapter 2 - $83,586,447 7 The Purge: Election Year - $79,213,375 8 The Purge: Anarchy - $71,962,800 9 The Visit - $65,206,105 10 The Purge - $64,473,115 It's topped the Paranormal series & the Purge series. It is rivaling Split. The weekend estimate brings it within the realm that it will be Blumhouse’s top grossing film before it leaves theaters. That's not hype. Critic reviews doesn't count much for box office. Hell, in the 70s & 80s most of the geek audience just assumed our favorites would get crappy reviews & the perception in general was any film loved by critics was an art house sort of film seen by 1000 people. This film is doing very well meaning people are seeing it & maybe that's including repeat business. Repeat business would mean it's good. You don't pay to see a movie you dislike a second time
