I thought they had good chemistry in Blade Runner 2049, so yeah I'd be all for that.

I agree him and Ford worked well together in the Blade Runner sequel, so having him in Indy 5 could be cool.
However, they need to get this project running soon because Harrison Ford is already in his mid 70's!

Well it's set for 2019, right? The IMDB page says 2020, so I'm not sure what to believe. Ford has always looked younger than his actual age and while the films weren't perfect, he was solid in Crystal Skull, The Force Awakens and Blade Runner 2049. (He also walked away from a plane crash at age 73!) But I still wonder if people will accept an adventuring archaeologist pushing 80 years of age? Also, an Indy film set in the late 60's or early 70's just feels very....off. The prior films had unique historical settings to set their stories in: Temple of Doom - British Colonial India with a resurgence of the Thuggees Raiders & Crusade - Dealing with the Nazis before the outbreak of WWII Crystal Skull - Soviets and alien UFOs during the era of the Communist Scare, Roswell, etc. I feel like Indiana Jones fits in better with the historical settings of the first half of the 20th century and putting him in the 60's or 70's just doesn't work with the character.

I have to agree- part of Indy's charm was that it look place (originally) in the era of THE SHADOW being on the radio and LONE RANGER movies showing at cinemas on Saturdays to entertain kids for 25cents a ticket. Having it take place in a time that a good chunk of the audience either remembers or had their parents born in would seem.... odd. Two ways you do that with characters is to make them comically out of step with the current time (a la SLEEPY HOLLOW having Crane nearly blind himself with a flashlight or get upset about the tax on donuts) or have them tragically lingering past their hayday (such as having Steve Rogers watching Peggy deal with dementia and reading the files of all his dead Commandos in WINTER SOLDIER/AVENGERS), neither of which would be good for Indy. In the former, it plays wrong for the character, the latter is just too sad for a character who is supposed to be cheeky and fun.
Honestly, if they do another, I'd almost wish they did it to be a send-off to Ford/Indy and a set-up for a new character to have adventures of their own. Have it be a great-nephew of Indy's mentor/friend from the museum, and Indy helps him out of loyalty to his old friend and they go on this great adventure where the 'kid' seems to be more out of time than Indy does as if born in the wrong decade/century, and Indy is only mentioned in the follow-up movie while this new character has adventures. ---Picture it, another version of this, if he meets someone like Dorian Gray/etc. where they live forever. We've had aliens, a Templar Knight waiting with the Holy Grail, nazis getting melted by the Arc, and hearts magically yanked from chest cavities. I don't think some immortal (vampire, cursed by the gods, Dorian Grey, whatever) might need Indy's help. Then you could have a series that jumped around in time with this immortal. The next movie could be like WONDER WOMAN, going backwards in time to set up the character, then the next movie could pick up when Indy is still alive, but elderly. It would allow a plethera of flashbacks and you could continue it on for decades so this person could work with Indy in the late 60s, be a spy in the 80s during the later days of the Cold War, pop up in the late 90s/early 2000s for another adventure, and a third movie could take place in 2020/2023 where the immortal finds the key to ending their immortality but ultimately gives it up for the greater good, and is cursed to live alone always searching and going on adventures.
