For example, I recently was watching some episodes of the controversial 1969-1970 sitcom "The Dustbinmen", which was about four garbagemen. Naturally, many of the episodes feature garbage.
Also, here's Sorting Refuse at Incinerating Plant, New York City, a brief film from 1903:
Can you people name some other examples of films/TV episodes featuring garbage?
Another one which comes to mind is an episode of the 1990s children's series "Round the Twist" in which a character tries to salvage dentures from a dump......another episode of the same show saw a character becoming a magnet for garbage, so that wherever he goes garbage becomes attached to him...

Near the beginning of Ponyo, there's lots of garbage on the sea floor. That's how Ponyo gets stuck in that glass jar.

deembastille "Steptoe and Son" is a show I plan to re-watch, though I must admit it is rather bleak at times....

The 1987 b-horror film, Street Trash is about a poisonous brew that causes hobos to dissolve into liquid. It's so un-PC, over the top and vulgar that it has to be seen to be believed.

Dominick and EugeneDominick and Eugene are twins, but Dominick is a little bit slow due do an accident in his youth. They live together, with Dominick working as garbage man to put Eugene through medical school. Their relationship becomes strained when Eugene must decide between his devotion to his brother, or his need to go away to complete his training. Things are also not helped by Dominick's co-worker, or Eugene's budding romance.
