A Streetcar Named Desire (1951)
" I have always depended on the kindness of strangers. "
This is quite a memorable film ( and line ) indeed here .
A really good yet sad storyline and with a fabulous all star cast too which certainly leave us with a lasting food for thought impression of it as well .
Thanks so much redhorizon for this wonderful pic selection
and for this movie reminder also .
Thank you mszanadu for your reply. That was a memorable quote you mentioned. This is the first time I'm watching it. Although I knew beforehand that the movie ended in a tragic fashion.

Rachel Weisz and Hugh Jackman in The Fountain (2006)
What is that Movie about and is it any good ? A bizarre combo of 3 stories in 3 time periods with Jackman playing 3 roles all in search of immortality. It sounded interesting, but I found it confusing and disappointing.

Joan of Arc (1948) I bought the Kino Classics release of this on blu haven't not seen it since 10th grade World History class and it's amazing how much of it I remembered. That was around 1992 or 1993 when I saw it the first time. Great film, Ingrid Bergman was beautiful and excellent as the "Maid". “Death by fire is a horrible thing.”

It was great although not as good as the original. It was extremely close to the original it just looked different. I liked the musical staging better but they removed a scene that usually makes me weepy and I can’t quite grasp why.
