Did Tom Hanks do a good job playing Mr. Rogers in it ?
I consider that to be Pretty Important which is why I am asking.
Yes, I thought he did an excellent job - as did Matthew Rhys in his role. Director Marielle Heller worked hard (heard her interviewed on NPR) to keep them slowed way down - to their discomfort, she said. But it worked so well for the film and for portraying Mr. Rogers as I remember him. She's a very smart, talented director. And I especially liked the way the story was crafted. It's much more about the Rhys character and the impact Mr. Rogers has on him at a critical time. But that allows both to shine. I have a feeling Mr. Rogers would approve of the film. It's rather a special one, I think.
Yeah, Tom Hanks is 1 of My Favorite Actors which is also another reason why I was asking.
I think that My own Number 1 Favorite Movie of his is "APOLLO 13".

Friday The 13th: Part VIII - Jason Takes Manhattan undoubtedly one of cinema's greatest marvels and is a living testament to cinema's timelessness, and its limitless potential. A must watch for everyone. 10/10 The movie's direction, cinematography, editing and music are all top notch and it is the great synergy of all these elements that makes the movie an extravaganza and an undisputed master piece, one to be savored till eternity. The movie is an amalgam of scenes, high on emotion and drama, which keeps the viewer absorbed throughout.

Green Book
Is that Movie really as good as a lot of people are saying ?
The reason why I am asking is because Me and My Brother actually just bought it for My Step-Dad for Christmas (He likes to collect Movies that Won the Academy Award for Best Picture).
I really enjoyed it. The lead performances were great. Sure it's not the most original movie ever. I really liked the 1962 setting, and the music. It is good to be watched multiple times too, which I will certainly do!

Of course I will be waiting for it on cable TV .
IMPO - I was also really concerned that the film
would have been made into a silly dumb parody
which for me would not have been funny at all .
I'm just so relieved it's a film which honors Mr. Rogers memory
instead of it making tasteless dark humor jokes about
his wonderful and refreshing good-natured personality .
It's always what I adored about that wonderful gentleman too - his caring heart .
Thanks so much spiderwort for this wonderful pic selection and this awesome yet well put movie recommendation here too .
Also thanks so much to anthonyrocks
for asking about this film and your concerns about it here too .

Jewel of the Nile 1985
Michael Douglas, Kathleen Turner and Danny DeVito Great film. Lacks some of the charm of Romancing the Stone, but this was a favorite from my childhood.

Dark Waters. Terrific cast -- Mark Ruffalo, Anne Hathaway, Tim Robbins -- important true story, excellent direction by Todd Haynes. Definitely worth seeing.
