Got both the HD versions... Which should I play first? Which is better?
(I know there's no true order/ continuity so no need to address that)

I got the remake to Wind Waker too but I haven't played it yet.

I enjoyed The Wind Waker far more than Twilight Princess.

I enjoyed The Wind Waker far more than Twilight Princess. Good to hear. I'm pretty deep into Twilight Princess and I'm not very impressed. It's fun, but very generic and certainly lacks the magic of the N64 Zeldas.

I feel they spent more time coming up with the great graphics than coming up with fun, inventive gameplay.

I feel they spent more time coming up with the great graphics than coming up with fun, inventive gameplay. It feels like a soulless remake of OOT. It has its moments, but it feels so bland. I think Nintendo was solely focused on graphics after the backlash against WW's cartoony look. Skyward was worse though. I grew to hate that one before the end. Im definately excited to play Breath of the Wild later this year. That looks like the Zelda game I've been waiting for.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who did not enjoy Skyward Sword. It was a tedious chore.
It lacked any of the enjoyment or wonder Zelda's greatest games possessed.

Indeed. So many bosses were difficult not because they were a true challenge, but because the motion controls wouldn't register precise movements.

3d Zelda Is on a downward trajectory imo. So therefore wind waker is better than TP, Imo. Ocarina is better than mm, Mm is better than ww. WW is better than tp. Tp is better than Ss. Imo. Breath of the wild though, I don't know where the hell that would fit in. lol It really is. I'm glad they finally corrected this with BotW, although I haven't played it yet so I'm taking other people's word that it's great.

The tedious padding to that game was another pain in the rear.

I enjoy both games, but I'd choose Wind Waker as being the better game.
Wind Waker might throw you off with its cartoonish look at first, but the feature of sailing from island to island and exploring gives it a unique element to stand out from the other Zelda games. Despite having only four main dungeons, it still feels like an involving game that offers a lot to do throughout.
Twilight Princess is a fun game and I liked the whole trippy alternate realm where Link turns into the wolf, but I just felt like a lot of the game (dungeons, locations, weapons) is recycled from Ocarina of Time. Good one, yet lacking a little in innovation.

Skyway Sword is good for a Wii game. But I myself do prefer using a regular controller over motion controls.
