contrived, totally forced and unbelievable. I wince each and every time their are romantic scenes with these two. Even the actors seems uncomfortable with the scenes. THERE IS ZERO CHEMISTRY , and it shows.
Now, don't get me wrong, I love both these strong characters, but they do not wok as a romantic couple. As a platonic POWER COUPLE, yes indeed. But that's as far as it should have been taken, IMO.
Yes, both need a strong person as a romantic partner, BUT this is so unnecessary in their fight to stay alive, especially now , with Negan.

Rick was clearly into Jessie and then he's suddenly with Michonne. I don't think he even had time to grieve. Michonne was never his first choice, she's all that's basically left to pick from. Maggie was with Glenn at the time. Rosita was with Abe, then Abe was into Sasha. Tara's a lesbian. And the last thing Carol is looking for is a roll in the hay, unless it's with Darryl. And none of the other women stuck out, except for Jessie. But she died.

It's like you are inside my head. I feel the exact same way you do. I am not a big fan of Michonne in general, but putting her with Rick has made me dislike them both even more.

I agree with you completely. I like both of them (though Rick is an idiot), but as a couple they just don't click. It doesn't work.
