I'm not homophobic at all and am actually a strong supporter of gay rights. But I'm gonna say no because it would just be a blatant and forced attempt at pandering to the PC crowd solely for that purpose alone, and for no other valid reason.

It's a huge galaxy. It make as much "sense" to have gay characters as heterosexual characters.

I have a question, how do you write in a gay character without it seeming like an agenda? because for example, Lefou seemed kind of "gay" back in the 1991 animated film, and in the 2017 live action version the director stated he has "gay" tendencies, but how is that different?
is it because they officially stated he was potentially gay?

I'll give you the skinny on it all, if you would like... From my understanding of this world, you just don't and can't. Any use of gay characters or bisexual characters or anyone other than heterosexual characters is pushing an agenda. Incest is even a-okay as long as the two characters are opposite genders...or if both of the characters are female. For some reason, two women are less of a "threat" than two guys being together. The two exceptions to the above rules are: comedies and Seth MacFarlane projects. These gay characters can only be supporting/secondary characters. They cannot be main characters! They also have to be caricatures/streotypes, that when they speak, giant rainbows come out of their mouths. They also have to made fun of the whole time they're on screen for being gay (or when another character mentions them at all). As soon as the gay jokes are over, they must disappear at once so heterosexual people can pretend they don't exist again. I think that about covers it. He did in the animated movie. He drools all over Gaston for pretty much every scene he's in (except when he's attacking the Beasts' furniture in the castle)...how these silly soccer moms didn't realize he's gay is beyond me. I guess the difference is that now Disney can actually state that a character is gay.

Should there be a gay hero/villain? You mean they're not already?
