This indie film was something of a hit at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival. It went on to limited release in the United States last fall.
Rebecca Hall, the statuesque beauty who stands 5'10" in her stockings, plays the ill fated Christine Chubbuck, a television news reporter who shot herself on live tv in July 1974.
Hall's performance was a career best. She should have been nominated for all kinds of major awards but I guess those things don't happen with low budget limited release indies no matter how good they are.
So it's craziness in a 1970's TV Newsroom, sort of like Anchorman if Brick Tamblin would have shot himself.
It's awesome though.

It is a good movie. I was really impressed by Rebecca Hall in it. Oh yes, totally. It was amazing! Did you notice that she did up her bedroom to look like the bedroom of a typical fourteen year old girl? The period detail and wardrobe was amazing! There were some things they did with the cinematography to make it look more like a 70's film as well. You know like puke yellow and pea green were the official colors of the early 70's. Rebecca Hall looked so hot in her 1974 style, with the long straight hair parted in the middle. OMG. She should look like that all the time. |

Good movie and Rebecca Hall was very good.
The clothes and the 70's feel of the movie were great.

I have to admit, seeing the thread title just made me think of Christine, the movie based on the book by Stephen King of the same name lol |
