I wonder what's happening in Uzbekistan right now? Uzbekistan is a doubly landlocked Central Asian state. It is a secular, unitary constitutional republic, comprising 12 provinces, one autonomous republic, and a capital city. Uzbekistan is bordered by five landlocked countries. Uzbekistan has a rich and diverse natural environment. After Uzbekistan declared independence from the Soviet Union in 1991, an election was held, and Islam Karimov was elected as the first President of Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan is divided into twelve provinces. Uzbekistan has the fourth-largest gold deposits in the world. Uzbekistan is Central Asia's most populous country. The largest city is Tashkent with a population of 1,978,028. Islam is by far the dominant religion in Uzbekistan. With close to 65,000 servicemen, Uzbekistan possesses the largest armed forces in Central Asia. |

Sadly, no.......though I do find myself wondering just where the hell all that gunk comes from that gets under my nails.....and why it's always SO BLACK. That, and why all the hotties always seem to end up with the good lookin' guys with all the dough.......though that one, not QUITE as much............since, you know, chicks are just SO shallow....... Can do it just with the U.S., being a large country. So many people all over the place....what are they doing right now? |

Just that kind of thought that it's a big world out there, and wondering what's happening in some far-flung place. Can do it just with the U.S., being a large country. So many people all over the place....what are they doing right now? In two ways-
1) I think about people that are radically different from ourselves: Bedouins in the desert, natives in jungles, tribal people in Africa. What are their lives compared to ours?
2) Or the notion that right now as we read this, somewhere, someone is dying, being killed, being imprisoned. None of us knew it while it was happening but a man held three women captive for over ten years. While we're doing this somewhere in the world something like that is happening.

There'd be a few, certainly, but perhaps not quite as many as you think.
There are plenty of other countries out there that rival or exceed America for life expectancy, quality of life and so on and so forth.
And apart from the people already lucky enough to live in those countries, there'd also be a large number of less fortunate people hoping to get accepted as citizens by them.

I do. I'm fascinated with how huge the word is and how there are people in places all over at every moment. I use a live cam app that allows me to see places all over the world, in the moment. And an app to view the world, live, from the International Space Station. I especially enjoy viewing live cams of ocean waves crashing on the shore. What's it called? |
