Sandy's - hamburger chain known for great slushes. Absorbed into Hardee's. Gino's Hamburgers - apparently trying to make a comeback. Sambo's - some restaurants absorbed into Denny's. Woolworth's G. C. Murphy Montgomery Ward Gayfer's - absorbed into Dillard's.
Delchamps - absorbed into Jitney Jungle. Jitney Jungle - absorbed into Winn-Dixie. Winn-Dixie still exists but it's on the way out.

15 of the 72 Marsh Stores, were bought by "Fresh Encounter", and never closed... "Fresh Encounter" took ownership on June 22... 14 now run under the company brand: "Needler's Fresh Market".
