Well, it is common knowledge that Justice League is a write off used to get execs their end of the year bonus. It's 2017's X-men Apocalypse and Fant4stic. The way they are talking, Solo: A Star Wars Story might be that for 2018.

Indeed. Now in the future, they have to worry about competing with The Rock instead of the holy trinity of Hollywood: The father (Pixar), the son (Marvel), and the Holy Ghost (Star Wars).

DCEU is just not able to compete in the big leagues. MCU bringd home the Champions League every year and the DCEU plays sunday morning park football. Its no contest really.

Kinda surprising. A lot of Rock movies aren't such big money earners, at least the ones not fast and furious related.

In which they seemly had Mystique sell Wolverine’s role.

I think Apocalypse was more lazy writing than anything. Let's change the time line, but make it that everything has to be the same.

Just make it prequels. All of that could have happened in the regular timeline.

Oh there was a point. They wanted another shot at Deadpool, Weapon X, and Dark Phoenix that was ruined by Tom Ruthman.

What they did was compound on what was messed up by trying to fix things that they did in the past. Untie a knot, but end up with 8 more knots. They didn't have to redo Weapon X or Dark Phoenix in the X-men movies and certainly not right away. It's like they have three places in their X-men story mind: Magneto, Phoenix and Weapon X. They stem everything from there. Instead of going to new places they had to "get those right"? Meh.

Why are you fine with them redoing a Deadpool origin and not the other two?

Why are you fine with them redoing a Deadpool origin and not the other two? Out of continuity. It's not tied to any of the other movies. Wolverine isn't even played by Hugh Jackman. The only thing the same is Reynolds still playing the character. Even then, it's moved by 35 years and not even close to be the same character. Deadpool is basically like Jubilee and Angel, but in a good way.
