Can't remember. I guessed what the question would be before the thread opened.

Late summer of 2010. The reason for why I remember it, is because I was unpacking the remastered 2010 CD of The Flath Earth by Thomas Dolby at the exact same time as I stood in the phone booth awaiting for an answer, it did take a while so I began to look closer at what I had purchased earlier in a music/movie store. I have no idea who I rang or what the topic of the discussion turned out to be, but I was very pleased with my recent buys.

About 15yrs ago here too, & that was only because then archaic mini brick cell phone batteries were dead. Friend was dropping me off at home, snowing, he ran into a curbed island, blew out a front tire. We needed to call CAA.

Probably in 1995. We made a prank call to my neighbor.

2005. Flat tire. I forgot my little Nokia phone at home, so I used a payphone in order to call AAA.
Luckily, they weren't as rare back then as they are now. Plus, I'm glad I had spare change in the car.

2005. Trying to call a cab on a busy and FREEZING cold night from inside a downtown hotel. It was what probably led me to get a cell phone.
