Best explanation I heard. As quickly and simply as possible is:
1. Imagine a person/entity who lives in a 2 dimensional world (3 including time)
2. To that person a third physical dimension would be inconceivable, just like further dimensions are to us
That's the closest I've been able to get to comprehending it, but I still can't really get my head around it. Like where are these other dimensions. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough

flatland offers a good visual. imagine a piece of paper with a square drawn on it. now place a sphere in the middle of
the square. for the people in flatland in the middle of the square, a dot has now appeared out of nowhere. as the
sphere begins to pass through the piece of paper, flatland people see a circle expand and then contract. it continues
until it disappears. flatland people can't conceive of a sphere. our 4th dimension is a cube inside a cube. in our
3d world we can hardly imagine a 4d world. higher dimensions are around and inside us.

4 dimensions or 10 dimensions it don't matter. What I am about to reveal do not let it scare you. There is nothing you can do about it. It is the absolute truth. A supercomputer creates our reality. We do not exist. The supercomputer runs everything. It is a game. The supercomputer can make you feel happy or sad. It can give you the illusion of pleasure or pain. But make no mistake about it. The supercomputer is gathering information about the universe 24/7. We earthlings can teach it nothing because we are its creation. Sadly I found out the supercomputer is getting bored. It can and will just shut us all down at some point. And I think that time is getting close. Hopefully it will let you all have the illusion of one last 4th of July. But from my intelligence gathering I only give that a 50/50 chance. If we do make it till July 4th it will not be much longer after that the computer pulls the switch. |

cause in this universe it's all made of the same stuff. can't fall out of what we're already in. imagine our universe as a loaf of bread. this is called the bulk. we live on the slices - this is called a brane - like a membrane. our 3 dimensions + time ( we are in motion ) = 4 dimensions = Now. but all the matter and energy we can detect is only 5% of all there is. the other 95% is dark matter and dark energy - we don't even know what it is. but the maths of infinity point to higher dimensions as predicted by string theory, astrophysics, quantum physics, loop quantum gravity, and cutting edge theoretical physics. |
