I'll say HBO more consistent as well.

HBO all the way. Showtime just doesn't offer the same variety of shows that HBO does.

Tough question for me because Showtime produced my favorite series of all time in Dexter. But besides Dexter (and Weeds) Showtime really hasn't had many shows that I've truly invested in. So overall I have to go with HBO.

HBO by a long shot. I keep SHO for some of the series but the movies they show leave a lot to be desired, imo.

I love Shameless and Homeland so I pick Showtime. But HBO has great series as well.

HBO, Showtime doesn't know when to end shows, Dexter, Weeds for example
Sometimes i'm turned off by HBO's overuse of nudity

HBO no contest really. I'll occasionally watch Shameless on Showtime for Emmy Rossum's sweet self but other than that, nope. Someone else mentioned that Showtime doesn't know when to end their shows. COMPLETELY AGREE. They milk the shit out of their series and don't seem to have a plan in place on how to end things (Dexter being the biggest example of this)

HBO, but they charge an insane amount on DirecTV to add it, so it's only free previews.

Both are great. Stopped knowing what channel shows aired on long ago. HBO I assume is still the best there is.

HBO is better and it is not a debate, but I still love Showtime. Even now they have greats like Ray Donovan and Homeland.

HBO, Game of Thrones is my favorite show and Westworld is also one of my favorites. I've also heard a lot of great things about The Leftovers.

HBO is better.
I liked Ray Donovan, when it first came out (on Showtime), but it has spiraled out of control during the last few seasons. Dexter also was great....at first, but fell apart after a few seasons.
