An unlisted reason - politics in the USA right now are more problematic than religion is. I always thought that if humans could deal with the reality of existence without the crutch and divisiveness of religion, humanity might have a chance to advance to a higher quality of life. But the lunatic wild card in the White House has presented us with more divisiveness and a more volatile environment. So I am more concerned about the dangers of political strife, which encompasses religion to a degree. So the politics board has become of more concern. Edit: Additionally, the adversarial attitudes presented by both theists and atheists. What if there was a thread just for theists, so they as a group could talk about why they like religion, and a thread just for atheists, so they as a group could talk about why they like atheism? Everyone would be adults and not cross the lines to attack the other. There are plenty of other threads for that. Thoughts? Thoughts? Okay, here's a thought. You are foolishly wasting your life and annoying others with your hatred of religion and religious people. You want to do something good for humanity? Go find a cure for cancer. If you survived it yourself seems like you'd want the same for others, instead of bashing them because they have something which you don't even want, and in your narrow mind they are the ones who need to change and become like you. You asked for thoughts, and that's what I honestly think about it.

Humans simply cannot co-exist. I did not attack you back, though.

Check out dipshit's response to you, it's typical of a lot of exchanges on this board. Why would I waste my time posting if I cannot get a good discussion. Maybe it has always been this way, and to be fair I have encouraged erjens laughable outbursts, it gives me some pleasure to watch him dance like a puppet when a poster triggers him, but lately I have been putting more effort into the good conversations and trying not to engage with antagonistic posters. EDIT: I don't think separate boards or threads works, often I find I learn more about how I think when challenged by someone who fundamentally disagrees with me.

Yeah, I already responded to him - interesting that he was the first one to respond, and with an attack. Funny how you and I get along just fine, theist and atheist. Perhaps because we discuss, not attack.

Lady I thought you were a bit messed up, but clearly (fuck you erjen) you are insane.

That's right, separate boards don't work, and the one and only reason why they don't work is because the anti-theists refuse to stay away from a board where religious/faithful/spiritual posters are gathered. Do you want to deny that?

Yes, but you're not living and letting live, and you're certainly not here for discussion. You're spewing negative propaganda on people who don't want it. You should take it to a more appropriate forum where individuals like you won't annoy anyone who is here for discussion.

Vegas, can you go into more detail about why you think the board has been killed? Thanks in advance.

That's your opinion, and you're welcome to it. I also don't care how many names you call Donald Trump. But this..... .......is offensive and unnecessary. The blurb that goes with this board asks people to be tolerant and respectful of those with different beliefs, and I have been. I've never condemned anyone for being an atheist or told anyone that atheism was stupid or blamed all of the world's ills on atheism. You, on the other hand, have not been tolerant and respectful, and your behavior proves it. And after all this time, I'd still like to see it stopped, and I'm going to do everything within my ability to get it stopped. And if some don't like it because all the "fun" has gone out of the board, then good. There are plenty of other places on the Internet where you can post your hateful garbage. You don't need to bring it here.
