Il pick out Predator 2. No idea why its not liked, thought it was a great sequel and didnt just rip off the original. It also was one of the very first diverse cast major releases in Hollywood, and if released today im sure would get high praise - not that I agree with diversity should equal quality.

The Langoliers (1995 TV movie) - Watched this on TV many years ago and was hooked from start to finish. I think it's unpopular because the special effects are very low budget. But if you can overlook the effects, it's a really compelling story and entertaining movie.
Memoirs of an Invisible Man - More of an "unseen" movie than unpopular. I guess people got scared off by the casting of Chevy Chase (I did too, initially). John Carpenter directed this movie, and it's a suspenseful sci-fi thriller.
The Butterfly Effect - Again, I don't know if the casting of a comedic actor (Ashton Kutcher) scared people off, but another overlooked and underrated sci-fi movie. It's fascinating and entertaining. Unlike Memoirs above, there's no comedy, it's actually quite dark.

I can't really think of that many. These are the 9 I was able to come up with and I don't even know if all of them are that unpopular.
War of the Worlds (2005) - 8/10 Star Wars: The Last Jedi (I don't know if it's really that unpopular) - 9/10 Star Trek Into Darkness - 7/10 John Carter - 7/10 Monsters - 9/10 Tron: Legacy - 7/10 Cloverfield - 7/10 or 8/10 The Lost World: Jurassic Park - 8/10 The Arrival (1996) - 7/10 Prometheus - 8/10
Edit: I forgot about Sunshine. Also an often overlooked movie.

I can't name 10 but the 1st one that come to mind would be TRON: Legacy . It got rotten reviews and barely broke even at the box office but I was totally into it. Featured a heart felt story about a son searching for his dad (and you can't go wrong with Jeff Bridges), great visuals, action sequences & a BOOMING soundtrack provided by Daft Punk . 8.5/10

Final Fantasy Star Trek: Insurrection The Phantom Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow City of Ember
I'll have to give this one more thought.

from your list, sort of liked: The Thing (2011) 6.5/10 Predators 7/10 STAR TREK: Generations 7/10 (too rushed to see the flaws, but still entertaining) War of the Worlds (2005) 7/10 STAR TREK: Insurrection 6.5/10 (Would have made for a really good episode of the show, just not the correct scope for a feature...) Predator 2 7.5/10 : STAR TREK: Nemesis - Complete and utter dreck, that even those involved do not think highly of...killed the TNG run and almost the entire franchise...too many non-trek people involved in the creative process...only it's production values save it from being worse than ST: V....

I also thought Predator 2 was great and have never understood why it was considered bad. I'll also second The Langoliers. Yep, the effects sucked, but I'm a character guy and it had some great characters.

I'll pick out Predator 2. No idea why its not liked I hated the first half of the movie. Just didn't like story concerning the drug dealers, and urban warfare... But once the focus shifted completely to the Predator, I thought it was great! Here's a few other "Unpopular" movies I enjoyed...Predators AVP: Alien vs. Predator The Lost World: Jurassic Park STAR TREK: Nemesis The Langoliers (1995 TV movie) - I'll agree the special effects were very low budget. but I enjoyed everything else about the movie.
