Now, THAT looks like the Supes I grew up with...well, with the exception of the embellishments on the boots and around the wrists. But darn it, I missed those red trunks. Sure hope that it's true that they're here to stay (or at least for "the foreseeable future").
Bill Sampson: The Theatuh, the Theatuh - what book of rules says the Theater exists only within some ugly buildings crowded into one square mile of New York City? Or London, Paris or Vienna? Listen, junior. And learn. Want to know what the Theater is? A flea circus. Also opera. Also rodeos, carnivals, ballets, Indian tribal dances, Punch and Judy, a one-man band - all Theater. Wherever there's magic and make-believe and an audience - there's Theater.
i never knew superman NOT to wear the red undies/outies. the last two 'versions' of the outfit are hardly in existence in my book. no way should batman ever fight superman nor vice versa. that's beyond fucked up.
in any event, any version of the outfit is better than [sorry] the one mr reeves wore. yes, George. he had the politeness and congeniality needed for clark and certain aspects of superman but the bod.. ohgoodlord. the dude needed padding and the padding even back then was embarrassing. the red undies were almost boxers.
let it go let it go let your love open da door...
as my 3 1/2 year old niece sings it. much better message.
