I saw a few, mostly on the Universal Studios (California) tour.....but that doesn't really count. As far as actual location filming spots I've visited, one of the coolest was getting to see the quaint little square in Savannah, GA, where Forrest Gump (1994) sat on the park bench, waiting for the bus, talking to anyone and everyone who sat down next to him over the course of the film (this would have been 1999, and it still looked just like it did in the movie). I live in new york city so i have passed by a few of the 'hotspots' of the quintessential nyc movies... ghostbusters both the firehouse and dana's first apartment building.
my block was used in an ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK episode. my old block was used in an episode of DAMAGES.
[bummer i didn't know about imdb before my father retired from his assistant commissioner of bridges job for nyc... he would be the one who would okay bridges being filmed on.]

Only Vancouver and surrounding areas. I saw an X Files being filmed one time--I was on my way to see the ESB Special Edition and there was a huge number of film trucks and I asked what it was and someone said X Files..and I could see Scully and Mulder standing in the distance.
They shot tons of stuff in front of the Vancouver Art Gallery.
I stood by the "subway" entrance where David Hasselhoff as Nick Fury descended in a tv movie.

I was in Cleveland when they were shooting scenes for The Avengers. Didn't actually see any filming, just a couple of the exterior sets.

there was an urban legend [as in i was unable to verify this online] that a scene or two of Back to the Future was filmed in a nearby town where i grew up: Bedford Hills/Mt Kisco
shit. that would have been awesome.

I lived a block away when they filmed Sonny beating up his brother-in-law in The Godfather.
I lived in Manhattan for 50 years so I saw a lot of sites where films were shot

Sure, I've been to some, but I didn't go there for that reason. NYC is full of locations. Also Boston, Washington DC, Las Vegas, New Orleans, Monument Valley, Paris, London.
North by Northwest - Mt Rushmore, South Dakota.
Diamonds Are Forever - Magere Brug (Skinny Bridge), Amsterdam The Netherlands.
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid - Capitol Reef National Park, Utah. Close Encounters of the Third Kind - Devil's Tower, Wyoming. Starman - Meteor Crater, Arizona.
A Bridge Too Far - Deventer, The Netherlands.
Jaws 2 - Destin, Florida. One scene shows Captain Dave's, a restaurant where I've made deliveries of food supplies.
Star Trek: The Motion Picture - Minerva Hot Springs, Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming.
Star Trek V, The Final Frontier - Yosemite National Park, California.
Galaxy Quest - Goblin Valley State Park, Utah (the planet of cannibalistic aliens).
Gettysburg - Gettysburg Battlefield, Pennsylvania. I had no idea a movie was being filmed there. When I drove into town there were hundreds of re-enactors walking around.
Gods and Generals - Antietam Battlefield, Sharpsburg, Maryland and Harper's Ferry, West Virginia and Virginia Military Institute, Lexington, Virginia.
Shutter Island - Acadia National Park, Maine.
The Lone Ranger - Canyon de Chelly, Arizona.
The Night Manager - Zermatt, Switzerland.

I worked in a building that were used as a filming location in a tv-movie about a murderer. We had to move around the crew when they needed different parts of the buildning, but it was fun to see the movie afterwards.

Universal Studios in LA Old Tucson Studios In the audience for the Daily Show with Jon Stewart (the comic who came out to warm up the crowd before taping homed in on me and harassed me during his bit lol) In the audience for Bozo's Circus when I was a kid (several of my cousins were also in the audience, at different times; and one got to play the Grand Prize Game a couple of times) Walked past crews filming in NYC a number of times (didn't know what they were filming, except I think I saw a scene of Scent of a Woman being shot) Used to walk past the Today Show crowd outside the studio on the way to work all the time. Used to live across the street from a building that was used for the exterior of a building in one of the Cosby shows Got soup from the real life Seinfeld Soup Nazi's shop before. Used to walk by here every day, and have eaten here: (The inside looks nothing like in the tv show though. And the food was nothing special.)

^ Not even going to try to list all the other locations I've visited that were in various movies and tv shows, like the Field Museum in the original The Omen, the Louvre in The Da Vinci Code, the palace at Versailles in countless productions ...

I took the Roosevelt Island tram just because I saw it in Dark Water.
Went to one of the beaches on Oahu where they filmed Lost.

By chance my father pointed out the dock near Wilmington, NC where scenes in I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997) were filmed.
My wife and I are familiar with the plaza in Woonsocket, RI where key scenes in Hachi: A Dog's Tale (2009) were filmed. Incidentally, despite what is depicted in the movie the plaza is NOT adjacent a train depot. Movie magic.
My brother was paid $400 to vacate his apartment in Austin, TX for a couple of days so the building could be used for scenes in Flesh and Bone (1993).
My mother and sister were extras in The Carrier (1988), a sci-fi cheapie filmed in Manchester, MI. (My mother's paramour invested $15,000 in the movie. Lost all of it). I haven't seen the movie; but I think my mother and sister are visible running across the street dressed in black 30-gallon plastic garbage bags. It's that kind of movie.
