Ending of From Russia With Love. Klebb's got the drop on him and she's supposed to be a ruthless SPECTRE/KGB agent, no way she wouldn't pull the trigger immediately. But we've got to make this a franchise, so she has to wait around stupidly for the girl to swat the gun away Same thing earlier with Grant on the train Goldfinger, and the laser table. "OK, Mr Bond, what is Operation Grand Slam?" Silence. "Goodbye, Mr Bond."

IN all of them there is at least one point where the villain could just shoot him, but they never do. OR stab him with a trident as in Man with the Golden Gun. BUt no, they never do.

Well, y’know, with From Russia with Love Fleming originally intended it as killing off his character—he’d grown as bored with Bond as Doyle had with Holmes. But, just as Doyle had, he gave himself a way out in case the movie money were to run dry: he left it on a cliffhanger with Rosa Klebb’s shoe-blade.
Of course, it’s only the second movie, so no cliffhanger there. I do like the movie’s ending, though, even if the back-projection’s horrendous.
