After what they did with Reign, I doubt they'll show up looking like anything other then an ordinary human. if they attempt make-up it wwill come out as lackluster and stupid as Brainiac 5's design. And annoy the Hell out of me because if they can keep them looking alien, why the Hell not do the same for Reign?

And annoy the Hell out of me because if they can keep them looking alien, why the Hell not do the same for Reign? Sadly you might be right but they have had aliens in their alien forms in this show before and it looks odd that they have all disappeared now when we saw so many of them last season and while I would prefer the show to focus more on 'Supergirl' instead of all the side characters an explanation for what happened to Winn's girlfriend when they made her a big part of so many episodes would have been nice. It is like they retconned him having an alien girlfriend and then there is Jeremiah who has never even been mentioned again. I wish they would have used Dean Cain as an older Superman from an alternate world but they had John Wesley Shipp as Jay Garrick from Earth 3 so I suppose anything is possible. I am not a fan of Braniac 5's design either and isn't Branaic 5 supposed to look more intimidating like the original Braniac? I thought it would have made more sense too if the others were a little intimidated by Braniac 5 at first too being a Braniac like Clark was when he first saw him in Season 10 of 'Smallville' and thought he was the original Braniac but maybe that Braniac doesn't exist in the 'Supergirl' universe. This is a little off topic but is it just me or did that line in 'The Flash' where they mentioned Kryptonite make it sound like 'Superman' is a character from a TV show and not a superhero in the 'Arrowverse?' I mean how did they expect Ralph to know what they meant with Kryptonite when Superman and Supergirl aren't on their earth? Maybe I am thinking too hard about it but that line just seemed to be off and would have made sense in a world where Superman was a well known fictional character but not on one where he wasn't.

I think this show has either had their SPFX budget cut, or they're just no longer interested in the alien bar. Thus why we haven't seen them anymore. I am edging torward the former considering the look of Reign, the other World Killers, and Brainiac 5. Apparently Season 3 just does not have the money they had in Season 2.

Yes which is odd 'cause if they were going to cut down the budget you think they would have done that when they first made the move to the CW Network but it looked like they had a bigger budget last season than they did in the first season. Cutting the budget is not a good sign for things to come 'cause it is going to make it harder for them to use other characters and villains. What do you think the budget is going to be like for 'Titans' and 'Metropolis' on the DC Streaming Service? Do you think it is going to be higher than the 'Arrowverse' shows since it will be coming directly from Warner Bros or lower? I am thinking it is going to be slightly higher 'cause Raven and Starfire wouldn't be cheap to use with their powers.

They sound like the Kandorians with a few letters of their name changed. Why does everything in Superman and Supergirl have to sound so similar? Lois, Lana, Lena, Lara, Kara, Martha? Who was naming these characters?

I think the writers have a sense of humor and were having a decades long running joke. it is interesting that all of Superman's loves have the initials LL and so does his archnemeis, Lex Luthor. Maybe the had a torrid love affair in their youth that ended badly and left Lex bitter?

There are actually even more characters with the 'LL' initials and this is a full list of them from the Superman Wikipedia page. From what I can gather many fans believe the 'LL' initials are an extension of Superman and the 'House of El' but there is also a belief the initials stem from Jerry Siegel having had a crush on a girl with those initials. Chloe joked in 'Smallville' that Clark was only attracted the people with the initials L.L.
