I haven't seen any of the nominees for documentary, foreign, or animated and don't really plan to. Of the major categories the only ones I haven't seen are Mudhound and All The Money In The World.

I've just watched Detroit and am amazed it hasn't scored even a single nomination.

The Shape of Water I, Tonya Get Out Mudbound Logan Star Wars: The Last Jedi Beauty and the Beast Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Kong: Skull Island
I'm playing major catch-up nowadays, besides the above I've also now seen: Call Me By Your Name The Florida Project Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri Lady Bird Baby Driver
I really need/want Guillermo del Toro to win Best Director. Best Actor, although I haven't seen it, it seems a given for Gary Oldman this year. Best Actress is a toughy, but going to throw it to Frances McDormand, she is too good not to win.

Yeah, he definitely starts off as a real asshole in the movie, but then he becomes the hero, and Sam Rockwell winning an Oscar will be so amazing, he already won the Golden Globe.

They generally look pretty weak if you ask me...
2017 = 2/9 (it's possible I could see a little more but I am not really planning on it) 2016 = 5/9 2015 = 5/8 2014 = 4/8 2013 = 9/9 2012 = 4/9 2011 = 6/9 2010 = 7/10
42/71 = 59.2% (so I have seen the majority of Best Picture nominee's in the current decade)
p.s. but out of all of those, only four are of any real worth for me.

by now i have seen all of them from all categories (excluding the documentaries) and had it not been for Three Billboards not being ineligible for WGAs and the MeToo / OscarSoWhite movement I think my prediction board would be already finalized. This way I am still deciding on Best Picture and Original Screenplayβ¦. but other than that, completed. I feel like this year was really quite strong, I have several favorites in each category.

I have to finish animations, shorts (all) and foreign but do you think there is something better than Zootopia or The Red Turtle this year?
