The Handmaiden (2016). I'm surprised it didn't earn a single nomination from the Academy.

There are quite a few. While I don't care for the LGBT...whatever grouping, my favorite homo themed films are: THE BOYS IN THE BAND-70' THE KILLING OF SISTER GEORGE-68' MAKING LOVE-82' CONSENTING ADULT-85'-t.v PRICK UP YOUR EARS-87' BEAUTIFUL THING-96' SHELTER-07' GOD'S OWN COUNTRY-17' Have yet to see CALL ME BY YOUR NAME-17' I would also like to see: TAXI ZUM KLO-80' and THE WOUNDED MAN-83', Taxi is on you-tube, but only German dialogue and no subtitles so gave up watching most of it. I liked a lot of the movies on your list, Toasted Cheese. Haven't yet seen God's Own Country. And I just looked up The Wounded Man on youtube (they had a 2:00 clip, with the kissing), and it looks very, very erotic. I'd never even heard of it before. I would love to see it. The Boys in the Band Taxi Zum Klo Fox and His Friends Consenting Adult (1985) Prick Up Your Ears Spetters Cruising The Ritz La Cage Aux Folles "What if I'm Gay" (80s afterschool special) Strawberry and Chocolate Sunday, Bloody Sunday

Chalice_Of_Evil I liked Room in rome for the most part, except their conversation seemed bizarre and unrealistic since they were only strangers and no sane person would open up and reveal their actual selves on a first date. Regardless of whether they are lying to each other, i wasnt sure but it was obvious that both women were in distress and emotionally scarred. Overall it was a beautifully shot movie with strong narrative and setting.
