In the U.S. we have the recording industry awards called The Grammies. One night a year (it is tonight, Sunday, January 28, 2018) they have a big splashy live show featuring all your favorite pop performers and the presenting of awards.
Grammys are also given for fields of music such as jazz, bluegrass, New Age, country & western and…classical. These have no part in the Big Show. They are announced earlier during the afternoon before the broadcast. That has already happened, so here are the nominees in the classical categories with the winners in BOLD.
