Created by George A. Romero, Tales debuted in 1983 and ran until 1988. I have fond memories of staying up late on Saturday night and watching these two shows when they aired back-to-back at 10 PM on a syndicated station. Two episodes have always stood out for me: The Last Car and Sorry, Right Number. These two episodes had little to no violence, but left a lasting impression. Monsters debuted in 1988 and ran until 1991. I remember it being on before Tales, although I can't remember any episodes. Anyone else have memories of staying up late on a Saturday night and watching these?

I don’t recall Monsters, however I remember both Tales From The Darkside and Tales From The Crypt from their original runs. And by coincidence, I just recently watched as many youtube’s of both of these series as I could find. My favorites from Tales From The Darkside would also include The Last Car, as well as Inside The Closet, and Halloween Candy. That Goblin in Halloween Candy looked like a force to be reckoned with, and the stingy old dude shouldn’t have f _ _ked with him, and just gave him the damn candy

Watched Tales From the Darkside--missed most of Monsters.

Inside the Closet sounds really creepy.
