It is amazing how many people didn't quite understand what the OP was saying. It was mentioning an old question from the defunct IMDb boards that was probably unanswered (or the answer forgotten long ago) and gave the answer. It was not a re-asking of the original question.
A few weeks back I did see the movie mentioned "Galaxy" aka: "Galaxy of the Lost Planet" also aka: "Galaxy Destroyer". It is a low budget 1980s film that at the time would have looked pretty good but has aged horribly. I think I rated it a 4. Not sure if I would attempt to watch it again or not.
Part of what held my interest at first was the plot of the main character stealing a space shuttle and returning to Earth after aliens had invaded and wiped out most of mankind. Another thing that kept me watching was the character of Mad Dog played by Joe Gentissi looks a little like Sylvester Stallone and I thought it was him for the first 4 or 5 minutes. The success of Rocky in the late 1970s of course rules that out, unless the film had been on the shelf for several years.
