If you mean which are worse then yes the overly religious are far worse than say the hardcore atheist, doesn't make them more annoying though, on an annoyance level their about the same, the each carry the same level of pretentiousness, smugness, arrogance and so forth.
That being said I would rather deal with a hardcore atheist because atleast disagreeing with them doesn't seem to drive them to commit heinous crimes in the name of their beliefs or non-beliefs as the case may be, doesn't make them less annoying though.
Yes. I agree regarding religious people, and yet I too have faith, a belief in God, or, as I prefer, the Deity, or Almighty, to turn back the clock a bit. I'm a true Deist, and I pray regularly, too. However that may be, I don't seek converts or anything like that. It's up to each of us to find "our' God. Neither Christian, Jew nor Muslim am I. It's a private matter with me, and I prefer it that way.
As to religious people, the kind one sees in the media, whether preaching, giving blessings, threatening, quoiting Scripture, something I don't really believe in or subscribe to,--I tend to steer away from dogma--I tend to find them annoying and too reliant on charisma, charm, personal magnetism, to draw their Faithful to them. I wish them the best in their spiritual endeavors, but that's about it.
Atheists are vastly more entertaining, easier to listen to and understand. They rely on logic to "defeat" God, and as God and belief in him (or he/she/it: God is without gender as I view him,--and I wish I had a laugh emoticon here) isn't something one can persuade a person to accept by using reason. Belief isn't reasonable anyway. Or should I say rational? To wind this up, I guess I'm just not the clubby or joining type, and while a good work team player when it comes to spiritual issues I am, I know I am, completely on my own.

My thought is this: why don't we realize that generalizing about the behavior of demographic categorizations that pick out large numbers of people, as if there are simple, real types of unified behavior picked out by the term in question, is completely absurd?
Both are very annoying. But I'm going to have to go with religious people. They are generally far more evil and dangerous. Atheists may be fools but they are harmless for the most part.
Both are OK. But when they try to push their beliefs on other people that is when they become annoying. I do not believe in the bible but I would never try to convince that to a religious person. And I would not want a religious person to try to make me a believer.

Both sides can be equally crazy. Atheists can be extremely stupid and religious extremists commit atrocities against the civilians in the name of religion. I think its for the best if they all mind their own business
