I was just discussing with one of the members on here the other day in the Superman comic books and 'Smallville' there were multiple types of Kryptonite which we are yet to see in 'Supergirl' and in 'Smallville' they used Blue Kryptonite to strip Clark of his powers and there was Silver Kryptonite which Braniac used on Clark to make him sick and delusional in Season 4. The final form of Kryptonite they used was Black Kryponite and Black Krypnite split people nto two bodies with good and evil versions of themselves. They did this twice with Clark and Lex Luthor in episodes and the last time they used it was to split David Bloom from Doomsday. Do you think we will see Supergirl or more likely her team use Black Kryponite to split Reign from Sam 'cause if it worked on Doomsday it should be able to work on Reign too and it could lead to us seeing a proper Reign that is more like her comic book alien form which we partly saw in Sam's nightmares? It is more likely Sam will kill herself to save everybody from Reign but this could give Sam a happy ending.

If they're smart they will copy Smallville because they are not too shabby when you think of their original ideas. Black kryptonite, blue krptonite, silver kryptonite. I don't think the colour matters that much if they aren't going to use the others but I gotta know what colour makes Kara horny?

I'm such a nit picky bastard I feel the need to point out you forgot the gold kryptonite that Darkseid's minions had Oliver forge into a ring as a means of permanently stripping Clark of his powers, also Silver K was fake iirc it was actually part of Brainiac coating a normal rock...what I love Smallville and James Masters is awesome therefor I remember this shit . I would hope they don't outright copy Smallville anymore though, I would prefer they "kill" her some how but it turns out "killing" her only kills Sam and Reign in her true form rises for the epic showdown between her and Kara to end the season in a far more brutal form than their last battle but that's just me, unless they want to keep the actress around for another season which then yeah split them using black K.

I have a feeling Sam will die. Whether this free's Reign or not, I hadn't thought of it before but it's a nice touch dazz. I think Sam will become aware she is Reign and feel tremendous guilt and be driven to help Supergirl. In the end she dies and Alex adopts her daughter so she can finally become the mother she longs to be.

I just hope if they have her adopt the kid they then don't shitcan the storyline 7 eps into S4 like they basically did with the Alex is gay story this season, whats next will next season have her realising her life goal is to start her own bakery, which to do so she will send the kid to live with her mom so she can achieve her "dream" by seasons end to just then burn down for insurance money the next season?

I was actually thinking about what it would be like if they used black Kryptonite on Supergirl. I'm surprised they haven't introduced red k yet, which is an old mainstay of Super-mythos.
It could be in the vein of Vamp Willow on Buffy, seeing some degree of repressed or inverted manifestation of Kara's psyche. On the other hand, I'm not sure I would have high enough expectations for Supergirl's writers to explore that to its fullest potential; and would probably be more of a mustache twirling cliche, much like Nazis Supergirl was...

I'm surprised they haven't introduced red k yet, which is an old mainstay of Super-mythos. I thought Supergirl had an encounter with Red K in the Season 1 episode: "Falling"Interestingly, the effects of Red K always varies from media to media Yeah, Gold K was supposed to permanently take away superpowers from Kryptonians... Interestingly it seems that "Clark Luther" from the alternate Smallville had this happen to him. That's how he was branded. But somehow, he got his powers back. Not sure how. I've always liked the Green K ray beam from Superman III, and the Green K bullets from Smallville. I've always wondered why someone wasn't running a black market for Green K bullets for criminals to buy. Even if the target wasn't Superman/Supergirl, it is still a bullet, and would still kill a human. So why not stock up!

That is a good question why we don't see more kryptonite bullets. I know in the comics following Crisis on Infinite Earths kryptonite was scare and not many bullets were made for Bloodsport. Not sure if kryptonite is still are in the comics or not.
Now in Smallville kryptonite is literally everywhere and you would think you would see not just kryptonite bullets but a plethora of kryptonite weapons.
No idea how common or scare kryptonite is in Supergirl. But it can't be that rare as often as the DEO uses it. Maybe they keep tabs on the kryptonite in the world and make sure it's not being used illegally?

The official word on Supergirl is that J'Onn rounded up all of the Kryptonite on Earth, initially as a stockpile for any potential Kryptonian hostiles from Fort Rozz; which created some tension between him and Superman. Then when Superman was on last year, J'Onn let Superman take all of the Kryptonite, at least what he had, and dispose of it. In a recent episode they talked about how scarce it is, with Mon-El noting how hard it was for the Legion to scrape some together when they fought Zod - which got Wynn excited, because as far as they knew, Superman had killed Zod; and he was curious how that all went down.

Yeah. I forgot about that with Braniac. Thanks for pointing that out to me and I do remember the gold Kryptonite Darkseid's minions had in Season 10 of 'Smallville' but I forgot to mention it when I was writing my post. There are so many different types of Kryptonite I am surprised we haven't seen more used more in the show yet and there are Krypnite bullets (another member mentioned above) which would be interesting to see a villain to to use on 'Supergirl.'We have seen Kryptonite arrows in the crossover which correct me if I am wrong but I believe first appeared in 'Smallville.' I don't think they should outright copy 'Smallville' either but I thought it does sound like a good option if they wanted to come up with a way to separate Sam and Reign and keep Sam alive. We did see multiple ghostlike beings in Sam's dreams earlier this season that looked more demonic like Reign and this was one here but I am going to have to look harder for the other dream where she looked more Reignish but still, I think she will look more like that at the end.

I think they're getting our hope up, just do dash them to the ground.

I think they're getting our hope up, just do dash them to the ground. I believe that was how the creators originally pitched the show.

I think they're getting our hope up, just do dash them to the ground. You are probably right. Sadly, that is the case with a lot of the villains not just in 'Supergirl' but throughout the whole 'Arrowverse' going back to Ra's al Ghul who could have been a lot better if they had given him his powers and the Lazarus Pit. With Reign we have a character who is not only nothing like her comic book counterpart but nothing like the way the writers described her to be in interviews last year and this was supposed to be some big journey of a character into becoming a villain but they didn't do that at all and just made Sam somebody who is possessed. DeVoe has been nothing short of disappointing, 'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' have a villain problem where they use the same ones over and over again when they have a whole catalogue of great villains to choose from and I would say the 'Arrow' villains have been the best this season but I am disappointed with their version of Richard Dragon and thought the actor was miscast even though I liked him in 'Fringe' and '12 Monkeys.'
