On the new incarnation of the Feud, I'm convinced that most of the survey answers were genuinely gathered from a survey, but one or two are just randomly made up. Some of the things that pop up on there are so absurd, no one would ever give those answers.
If you watch reruns of the other incarnations (before Harvey), you don't see that as much. Some of the answers are hard to come up with, but they almost always make sense once you see them.
Anyway, that's just my theory. I have no way to prove it but that's what I think is happening....

Yeah, some questions and categories are just ridiculous. Some of the answers are there I think just so one family cannot get all the answers in one category.

It's pretty stupid now under Steve Harvey's stint.

It's pretty stupid now under Steve Harvey's stint. I actually like Harvey as the host. I'd say I like him the best since Richard Dawson. It's just that the show is rigged, so it's not as fun to try and play along anymore....

I definitely agree with some points of yours here about this show Jan El Señor . Sadly I'm very disappointed with this newer version of Family Feud and it's host . Only started watching a few episodes again recently and haven't really watched this show since hosts Louie Anderson and the well remembered Richard Dawson . This was a second favorite game show of mine but no more ( the end of an era game show for me now ) . My first fave was and still is " The Price Is Right " . Thanks so much Jan El Señor for your subject post .

I watched a bunch of these on cable last week for the first time since I was a kid. The problem I had was that they try too hard to make the questions funny or raunchy. Not to say that I have a problem with this, but it makes it super repetitive. Every question is "We asked a hundred men about some topic relating to women." It got old fast.

I used to watch (not by choice) Family Feud when Ray Combs was the host, until he offed himself.
Nowadays, I catch the new Feud on T.V. when channel surfing. The questions seem rather challenging.
I'm waiting for the following to happen:
Steve: What is the longest medical word in the world? Participant: Uhh...
A few moments later...
Steve: Let's see the board... Steve: It is...pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis!
[X]
Oh well, LMAO!
