I'm referring to how it's written in the bible as parable, dumbass.
So am I, dumbass, and how it's written in The Bible is as a metaphor, dumbass. If the whole thing was a parable, that would make Jesus a fictional character, dumbass; and even if you agreed Jesus was a fictional character in a parable, dumbass, that would still make that particular statement ("eat of his flesh/drink of his blood") a metaphor within a parable, dumbass. It would only be a parable if the story involved people actually eating his flesh and drinking his blood, dumbass. Dumbass.
No, it's a parable, stupid.

I've noticed this particular, peculiar habit with several of the primo idiots on the Politics board: if you completely and utterly refute their claim/argument, they will respond by ignoring everything you said and just repeating their original claim. There should be a special term for this brand of stupid... Ostrich syndrome, maybe?

Yes, but they're very good at inventing things on the spur of the moment to compensate for what they don't know. And what is it that you don't invent on the spur of the moment, that you think you know over others? My mind isn't really very inventive, TC. I'm just searching for truth, even if it's unpleasant. In that respect I'm like the Tom Cruise character in "A Few Good Men."

You seem to be using what we all laughingly call 'The University of Youtube'. There is a lot of informed opinion presented on that channel and there is an overwhelming majority that is rubbish or opinion pieces at best. Your problem is that you don't have the knowledge from traditional intellectual education, to know the difference and to filter the wheat from the chaff. You are in a self perpetuating cycle of using previous nonsense sources to search for things which perpetuate your ignorance.

See, this is why I don't post here. Too many of you don't know shit but think you do.
Oh really? Is THAT the reason you don’t post (except when you do)? It’s not because people call you out on the full retarded statements you make that deserve obvious ridicule?

Considering what you're referring to here is a metaphor and not a parable, you're in no position to be talking about people not knowing the shit they think they do.

For those wanting to understand the difference: a metaphor is any single instance of non-literal language in the form of "X is Y." "LeBron James is the king," e.g. A parable is a short, didactic story that uses metaphoric and/or symbolic language in which elements within the story generally represent abstract concepts. Technically, the "eat of my flesh/drink of my blood" is more symbol than metaphor (the difference is that metaphor is "X is Y," while symbol is "X (is Y)" where the "Y" is left unstated/implicit), but it's clearly not a parable as it's not telling a story; there's no character and no events. If it was a parable, it would be used within a story where characters ate flesh/drank blood to absorb their powers. The parable might look something like Highlander-meets-cannibals, but you could do it. Thank you for defining the difference, I learned something today!

Yes because you bring such intellect to the Politics Board, like the one about Obama straightening his hair to look "white" Oh my god! For real?

If only you didn't...but yet you're still fucking posting here! To be fair, when heeeeey made the above post, she really wasn't posting thst much on the RFS board. She only started flooding this board with stupidity and insults when it became obvious she would lose her DBOTY title on the Politics board. If she wins "biggest troll" here, this tactic will have worked.

She ALWAYS does that! It started back on the old Politics Board when Obama one the first time and she said if Obama won, she would delete... AND HERE SHE STILL IS! I can't believe I have ben the only vote for her so far on the Politics Board DBOTY!

Yes, even though I think it's gross symbolism, it seems Jesus or the people who "scripted" a person named Jesus, was being symbolic.

In reading History books of the Roman Empire during the early church years, if you get some History published before 1960, which is more objective and void of modernism agenda, you'll find that the early church was seen as a modernist cult practiced mostly by urban people, looked down upon by the rural folks.
And not surprisingly, it's been documented that the conservative folks who didn't trust Christianity, thought that the king of the Christians got eternal life by dining on the blood of others.
Not the "first" vampires in History, but among the first. Certainly the "first" time that a multitude of people believed in the existence of vampires invading their world.
