She's simply His mother p.s. for the record... she's also sinless unlike the rest of us. NOTE: to be clear, this does not imply she's equal to God as God is the Creator and she's apart of creation. so clearly a big difference between the two. but with that said... she's basically God's masterpiece of creation. pray The Holy Rosary daily She's not perfect.

Well I guess that settles it. As an aside, I know Catholics always have to know the end game for everyone, so can I assume they think Mary was martyred?

No, she was Assumed into Heaven, body & soul, just like the Prophet Elijah was. In regards to Martyrdom: she had to witness her Son's Passion & Death. That is harsher than being killed, herself.

So she was martyred on the basis of Jesus' death? Is she still Jesus' mother in heaven?

So she was martyred on the basis of Jesus' death? Is she still Jesus' mother in heaven? Yes, a sort of 'spiritual martyrdom,' if you will. Yes, she is still Our Lord's Mother, as well as the Mother of His Church.

Perhaps it was nothing more than a surrogate motherhood, much like those that happen these days. Do you know what Arlon? I think that for once, you may have said something that is almost half sensible.

What is the mechanism by which she is sinless? This refers also to my quiz. So was she sinless before she conceived Jesus, as a result, or was she made that way in recompense for carrying God's child?

There's probably more to it. Wouldn't God've said, "Me so horny me love you long Tim."
