This was one of those contests where I had a half of about 20 entries but could not find the mate. For once the writers were really not always helpful. I spent time gnashing my teeth over the loss of character search but honestly I didn’t see many searches where the characters in remakes shared the same name. Well done MR Garth . A nice twisty puzzle.
High praise to LINDA for her achievement and congrats to all!

I knew that both The End of the Affair was made twice -- Deborah Kerr and Julianne Moore but, couldn't find an earlier Deborah Kerr movie that matched up with the names you gave.

I think Linda should take a well-deserved VICTORY lap and receive a gold metal for THIS game. Wow...what a difficult game...

I am a huge fan of "The Prisoner of Zenda" and bought the double laserdisc set that had both films. I also have both versions of "The End of the Affair" on DVD. That one is a no brained, but I had to check to see which point I had lost and why before I posted which was very frustrating after spending about 3 hours last night trying to match links that couldn't link.
But excuse my bad mood. Roomie's oxygen concentrator started making banging noises at 4am every 7 second and no one has been able to fix it. Not even my industrial strength ear protectors are blocking that out.
Fun game. A lot harder since the Character links don't work.

Some times I found --what I thought was--the Oscard actress in the middle but could connect her on BOTH ends to two remakes.

Brush up your remakes Start matching The now. Brush up your remakes And the Garth Game you will wow.
When they try to match Gable and Hepburn Say that frankly dear you don’t give a durn.
If they try to match Pat Neal with Cooper Tell them that in your book that’s a blooper
If The remake stars Gloria Swanson The Original can’t star Van Johnson
Brush up your remakes
Kiji will be wowed ( and how) And they all will bow!

A Shut Out. I don't think I ever scored Zero before. My shame is unbearable. I just hope I don't have to return my blazer with the DDC insignia. I look so good in chartreuse. I said it yesterday and I'll say it again. This was the most challenging Garth Game I think I've ever experienced. I couldn't make ANYTHING work. I'm hoping it's just a slump and not the beginning of dark times for me. Congratulations to Linda. I bow to you and actually to any player that even scored 1. Mr. Garth, it's good to see that the talk you were going soft was just a rumor. Your Quiz Master skills are dialed up to maximum and I'm ready for the challenges to come. I hope.

If you ever do a game on musical remakes, Marsha will be an unbeatable force.
She would probably also bet the stuffing out of me with a West Wing trivia contest.

Interesting that you should mention that, Linda. When we return to the Classics Board, a musical films quiz is on the docket. Oh, NO...Linda will REALLY clean our clock on a musical films quiz...............
