( and you haven't )
Frozen The Princess Bride The Goonies Schindler's List Scream ( any ) The Big Lebowski Speed Harry Potter ( any ) Shrek ( any ) Edward Scissorhands Big The Usual Suspects Evil Dead ( any ) A Christmas Story Rain Man Field of Dreams Kill Bill Groundhog Day
I have to admit that I take a certain amount of pride in not watching something, just because everyone else has.
And the older films are pretty much doomed, because I am not going to end a streak that, in some cases ( Evil Dead ) is now up to 37 years.
EDIT: updated and bumped

I almost missed what the OP said because just looking at the general topic and then seeing the movies the OP listed it's easy to think this topic is about 'Movies that everyone has seen' and then we just start listing super popular movies like Back to the Future etc. but after reading the initial text the OP posted than that clearly changes things since it goes by that movies a lot of people seen but that I have personally not seen. so in that regard... to use IMDb as a rough guideline and to list some movies, ill list... -Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980) -Seven Samurai (1954) (my guess is this movie is only popular amongst movie people as on a more mainstream level ill bet many have never even heard of it. so I don't even know if this would quality as that 'everyone has seen' level that the topic calls for) -The Shining (1980) -Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983) (basically I have not seen any Star Wars movies outside of the first hour of the first movie(see below)) -Lawrence of Arabia (1962) -Harry Potter (series) (but then again I was never into that magic/fantasy type of stuff) and to list some looking at Boxoffiemojo's website, to factor in more mainstream popularity... -The Hangover (2009) (seems to be one of the highest $$$ in the theaters for fairly recent comedies @ 277.3mil in USA and $467.5mil worldwide. it just does not look funny to me.) -Gone With the Wind (1939) (this seems to be one that's really huge as it did $198.7mil back in 1939 apparently) -The Sound of Music (1965) (but if there is quite a bit of sung dialog this will most likely get boring very fast) -The Ten Commandments (1956) (but I may eventually get around to seeing this) etc etc. that's good enough for now. I think those are just about guaranteed to be very overrated in my opinion. also, I generally don't watch much animated movies either as I am of the mindset they are mostly for kids and even the ones that can appeal to adults, animated stuff just does not connect like movies with real people in them do basically. NOTE: I tried to watch the following but did not finish... -Citizen Kane (1941) (but I did not rate this one as I believe I only got 20min into the movie before I turned it off as had I made it another 10-20min further, so about 30-40min into the movie in total, and it not gotten any better I most likely would have killed it and called it boring and then gave it a 2/10. my attempted viewing of this was sometime before Dec 27th 2011.) -Star Wars (1977) - 2/10 (I attempted to watch this on July 29th 2015 and killed it @ 1hr due to boredom. I did not bother with any of the other movies. prior to seeing it... I was pretty sure I was not going to think much of them but I did not expect it to be straight up boring like it was. but I guess these kind of movies are not my cup-of-tea as they say.) ghostintheshellI am surprised to see you list that as not having seen it as that seems like one of those movies that has wide appeal amongst a wide range of age groups etc.

They are also made to appeal to the child inside of us.

I am pretty sure I have seen every movie that is hugely popular. I feel similarly up to a point. Either very new ones or very old ones I might not have seen. Like I’ve not seen Lawrence of Arabia or Citizen Kane...but I’ve also not seen 50 Shades of Gray and Frozen. But most of the rest I’m probably good on.

Most superhero films made since 2000. I did see the first IRon Man, Thor, the Toby McGuire Spider Man films (the first two anyways) and the first Captain America but that's about it. No X-Men, etc. None of the DC stuff outside of the Bale Batman films.
None of the Fifty Shades None of the Hobbit films (I tried to watch the first one but it was just dumb) Schindler's List Passion of the Christ Breakfast at Tiffany's No Marilyn Monroe films

I can't even think of any hugely famous pre-1960s movies that I haven't seen and I've even seen 50 Shades of Gray and Twilight. Though I would hardly say everyone has seen those 2 movies.

I was at a Halloween party last year with a bunch of film reviewer buddies and it was fascinating to hear that a mate who has a regular radio slot had never seen E.T. ~ Not avoided it....just been on the back burning 'list to do' for a bloody long time. Then the others volunteered theirs. it did make for an interesting discussion.
Mine...not all avoided...just never got 'round too.

That question makes no sense. Since there is no such thing as a movie everyone but me has seen.
