You wouldn't know they were thousands of years old, seeing how naive Diana acts. It's lip service. And nothing on Themyscira comes off as magical. Diana was explicitly established as having been the only child on the island at the beginning of the film. Her naivety can easily be explained away by the fact that she had lived a sheltered life, with no connection to the outside world. Also, the fact that she doesn’t age over the course of 100 years should be a good indication of things. Also, Themiscyra is an island that’s hidden from the rest of the world by magic. Sounds pretty magical to me. Doesn't change that she's painfully naive despite being thousands of years old. No, if it was hidden in a way NO ONE could get there unless the Amazons wanted them there then it's more magical. Look at Asgard.

Yes, which is why it would have burned real nice. If Steve Trevor was portrayed as a reasonably intelligent person, he could have been a mile away before the fire he set reached the fuel tanks. If he was an imbecile and dropped a match into a fuel tank, then his plot driven stupidity would have been on par with what we saw in the movie. Any of this sinking in? If the plane is highly flammable, wouldn’t the flames have reached the fuel tanks pretty quickly? Quickly enough so it would be advisable to walk briskly away, once the fire was started.

It doesn’t matter how old she is if she didn’t have any experience with the outside world. Also, if Themiscyra was an island that no one could get to, Steve Trevor would’ve never landed there and we wouldn’t have a movie.

A few posts ago you were wondering if an aircraft would burn at all. Now you think one would instantly combust at first contact with a flame. Keep at it, Ace!

If WWI era planes are as flammable as you say, it kind of sounds like Steve wouldn’t have much time to run away, what with the volume of gases that were in the plane.

If he'd tried and still died in the blast, it would at least show he tried.

The MCU fanboys were threatened when Wonder Woman came out and got the reviews it did. Seems they still are.

Again, it doesn’t seem like there would’ve been much of a point to having him die that way. All it would’ve done would be cheapening the impact of his sacrifice, since it would’ve made him look like a complete failure.
