Cuz I rewatched conan the Barbarian after seeing Wonder woman, and they both basically have the exact same story. I's actually surprised how similar they are. I think it might be cause they are both comic book characters both appearing on the big screen. I know for a fact that conan the barbarian and wonder woman are both based on comic books.

Wasn’t Conan the Barbarian actually created by Robert E. Howard in the pulps?

It's too bad that the 2011 movie didn't pan out. I guess it was inevitable when the director was Marcus Nispel.

Conan was a bad sword and sorcery movie but we will never see a faithful one because of Hollywood's disdain for strong non-neurotic white male protagonists.
Something like Yor: The Hunter From the Future is pretty close to what the pulp Conan is supposed to be in personality. Arnie was too comical and dumb (at least in the 1982 movie--I recall he was less so in the 1984 film as well as Red Sonja --even though they changed his name).

I'm talking about the 1982 original version not the remake, which I have not seen. So did I Ok, well uh regardlessif you have seen CtB 1982 or not, there's still similarities between that and WW. And I can say so because I've seen CtB while WW was still fresh in my mind. Which most people on here have not i'm assuming, so therefore i'm in the position to judge that unless some others on here have seen both films back to back or reasonably close together. I saw ww in theaters, and I then watched CtB a few weeks back, maybe four or five.
There are more similarities than I can shake a stick at.

I like to think of Conan The Barbarian as one of the finest and best made fantasy/adventure films of the 80s and where what followed in the far too watered down sequel of The Destroyer (1984) and then even worse in the truly terrible Red Sonja (1985) which pretty much ruined everything that was great about the first film. Conan in 1982 was neither that comical or dumb, sure he may start off a bit naive yeah, but he was a fast learner and adopted well to the brutal nature of the world he lived in and much thanks to the help of his newly made friends, he soon embarked upon an epic adventure seeking out the ones who destroyed his people in a bloodfilled adventure that for me still stands as one of the most enjoyable revenge movies ever made.

It has nothing to do with pulp adventure though. Like Milius' the Wind and the Lion, it has a pretentious ambience of being some kind of masculine story but is ultimately flat. Schwarzenegger's Conan is not REH's. Conan was not a slave. There's very little fantasy in it. Just some ghosts. Also, they sure picked some unattractive women. Sandahl Bergman was WTF casting.

I guess we just have to agree to disagree. Was never a huge fan of the comics anyway, so for me the film not being close to the original stories was never something which bothered me much anyway. Not sure what you mean by the "unattractive" women? I thought some of the most stunning women I have seen in any of Arnie's movies was very well presented in this film. All natural beauties who would in return play a huge part upon Conan's view of women in general and that they were not just some random sexual "gifts" there for the taking but in fact could be just as brave, cunning and strong minded as himself, which we do get to see several times throughout the movie.

Not sure what you mean by the "unattractive" women? Ha someone in a magazine at the time of release made mention of it in a fan letter. The comics version of Conan is also somewhat removed from the REH version (but oh well, any port in a storm).

Are we ever going to get any specifics as to how WW and Conan "basically have the exact same story"?
