I'm fine with the concept but the execution was lacking. It seemed to drag badly and not be as sharp as it could have been.

Matt Smith was the best part. I laughed every time he showed up. Looking back,as I remember, perhaps that's what the tone should have been. Like yeah there's zombies but he's still acting like it's the ordinary Georgian era.

The humor didn't quite work for me, it felt a tad tonally jarring as well.

I got the movie on Blu-ray pretty cheap and have only watched it the once, but I do think that it could’ve been ‘more’ than it was. They had all the ingredients for a fun movie, but didn’t really roll with it as much as they could’ve. I agree that Matt Smith was the most amusing part of the whole film. I did like the sisters’ relationship and how they worked out their issues via kicking each other’s butts. All the girls were nice to watch kicking zombie butt as well, though Lily James is especially lovely. The film’s biggest crime, I felt, was wasting Lena Headey. We only got to see a brief glimpse of her character being awesome with swords and that was it. I certainly don’t hate the movie, but I haven’t had the urge to rewatch it as yet (though I probably will at some point in the future to see if my opinion of it has changed or not).

It's a better movie than the book. The book is absolute shit - and classic novel with unfunny zombie action inserted

I wanted to love it, but it was rather disappointing, just never quite delivered somehow.
