...because it was not in the script...BTW, it is an excellent film... Well that's an issue for me. Anyone in her position would have finished him off, but they needed him alive to continue the story. I did like the movie, but that one scene was just wrong.

I did like the movie, but that one scene was just wrong. That was not a Crocodile Dundee knife. She was trying to escape and the only way she was killing the captain with that knife is a throat stab.
