Like lets say instead of a fifth film it was rebooted. Have it set during WWII and a new actor and director. Who would you cast as Indy?? Who should write and direct?? What should he be after?? Personally I would love to see Chris Pratt as Indy that would be cool, director im not sure maybe Ron Howard?? Thoughts??

Actor - Chris Pratt
Director - Doug Liman
Writer - Christopher McQuarrie
Synopsis - During WW2, Indiana Jones and George McHale (younger self played by Stephen Graham?) are assigned by the Allies to team up with a female archaeologist against an evil occult scholar working with the Nazis to discover the Seal of Solomon, a magic ring which gave the biblical ruler control over demons. They connect the dots which include a lost Persian army, a mysterious Egyptian oracle, and rumors of a lost civilization in East Africa. Locations: Burma, India (Calcutta), Iran, Egypt (Cairo), Sudan, Ethiopia. Note: Cold opening will take place in Burma and pit both Jones and Mac against the Japanese looting ancient Buddhist temples. They'd return to India to be briefed on their mission.
...Some stuff I cannibalized from earlier drafts I made. But it sound like the classic formula plus some WW2 spy stuff.

Yeah those are some good ideas, for some reason i want Indy to search for Atlantis.

Actor - Chris Pratt Director - Steven Spielberg (because no one else should touch his baby series) Writer - Not sure
Q: Does it HAVE to be set in WW2? I was thinking it could take place in a jungle with animal archaeologists and whatnot. It would be cool to have a natural theme in an Indy movie.

It's incomprehensible to me that they're wheeling geriatric Ford out for another turn instead of rebooting with a younger actor.

I think it's because Indiana Jones IS Harrison Ford's most iconic role and much of what made Jones works so well was because of Harrison Ford playing the part. Weird example but kind of like how Bela Lugosi is almost interchangeable with Dracula or Gregory Peck as Atticus Finch.

Yeah thats true even tho Bela Lugosi only every played Dracula twice but I get what you mean. I admit I am excited to see him as Indy one last time.
