My all time favorite Disney movies are The Little Mermaid and Tangled. However, going simply by classics, I've always felt that Bambi is a wonderful and artistic masterpiece that Disney has never been able to duplicate to this day. It's also sadly become underrated these days, much luck all of the original five. What about Beauty and the Beast?

Fievel Goes West and TLBT are NOT Disney movie, why do you think every animation is Disney? is it cause they established animation? those are universal movies.

Of those released during Disney's lifetime (in roughly chronological order, and listing animated features only):
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs ***FANTASIA*** (not just great Disney, but one of the great films of all time, imo) Dumbo Bambi Cinderella Peter Pan Lady and the Tramp 101 Dalmatians
After Disney's death (again, animated features only, and throwing in Pixar for my convenience):
The Great Mouse Detective (despite the generic title--they should have called it Basil of Baker Street, imo) The Little Mermaid The Rescuers Down Under (I know this didn't do well at the box office, but I just love the voice work of Eva Gabor, Bob Newhart, and John Candy) ***BEAUTY AND THE BEAST*** (see my note for FANTASIA) ***ALADDIN*** Hercules Mulan ***TOY STORY*** (the whole series) ***THE INCREDIBLES*** Tangled ***FROZEN*** Moana
That's it for now...

Pinocchio, by far. Also, it is the absolute height of animation.

Not sure where to put this, but I’m watching Beauty and the Beast for the first time in years and years, and I’ve said it before and will say it again:
Has anyone else noticed that Ashman and Menken’s songs are pastiche-Sondheim? I mean this in the best way possible, because I’m a huge Sondheim fan, but I just don’t see it mentioned all that often. But nearly all of them, pretty much except for “The Mob Song,” seem written to be very Sondheim-esque, even including Angela Lansbury in there.
