Still one of the funniest and entertaining sit-coms of all time. Agree ?

Love the show ... they covered tons of serious issues ... always thought provoking.

It was great until Mike and Gloria moved next door, then it went downhill pretty rapidly. By the time of AB's Place it was quite mediocre. One of my favorite AITF episode is "Everybody Tells The Truth", the "Rashomon" one, where everybody tells their own version of the refigerator repairmen stopping by. Great performance by the late Ron Glass.

I thought it was a good show. I thought it was funny. It also dealt with real issues that made it realistic.

As a kid, All in the Family was quite over my head. However, I've been watching reruns online as an adult and just love it. Archie's salty speech doubles me up and I love how Lionel Jefferson plays him like a fiddle by speaking with a fake southern accent, basically giving Archie what he wants the whole time.

One of the better series' I've ever watched. One of the later episodes "Archie's Operation" is my favorite. Hearing Archie going on about how a blood transfusion can turn him black if he gets black blood is just downright hilarious and the lady that offered to give him her blood just gave it to him! The last season I didn't care for with Mike and Gloria gone to live in California. Archie quickly lost his nemesis in the meathead and it wasn't the same.

One of the best shows EVER! I watch reruns of it everyday. And I call my cats Dingbats.

Agreed, it had some really heavy deep episodes like Edith's friend Beverly being murdered for being a crossdresser.

I used to watch it all the time as well. There were certainly some hootin' and hollerin' in that show. Can you imagine something like that today? Oh dear God! I heard they planned some type of reboot of this, but I just can't see that really happening.
That one episode when Edith shouts to Archie to STIFLE IT! We were all just waiting for that day!

Very much agree on that. An absolutely timeless show!

What always gets me is how so many of the issues they talk about still ring true today, even more so in our current political climate.

Just watching an episode like "Edith's Birthday" is chilling, but the subject of rape isn't really taboo anymore (lots of crime/cop shows these days). When that aired, I guarantee there were a lot of open mouths and a silent woosh as the air left the room! Talk about putting things you would never talk about on tv right out in the open!

Good show man! I think it still holds up today as a funny classic sitcom. I'm glad they are still airing it I think on MeTV?

Stays relevant after all these years. The show fell off for me after the very bad decision to bring cute l'il Stephanie on (bringing on the cute tyke regular is nearly always a sitcom desperation move, and this was no exception), and by the time of Edith's death on Archie Bunker's Place they should have called it quits. But in its prime years AitF remains one of the funniest and most trenchant shows ever.

That's funny because recently I have been catching repeats of Archie Bunker's Place and I was never a regular watcher of it before. Yeah, it is not the same as AITF and nothing can ever replace it. But I am starting to like it and am finding the episodes as touching and poignant as certain episodes of AITF. So I have no problems, yet, with ABP and don't mind the storylines at all with the girls.

It does have its moments, and I particularly like the episodes where the late Martin Balsam appeared as a regular. He brought a very nice touch to the show.
