Well, firstly I will say I didn't think 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' was a horrible movie but my main problem with it apart from it being another reboot (I would have preferred an older Peter Parker this time) was Spider-Man just felt pretty useless to me for the majority of the movie and in the comic books and the previous movies when Peter Parker was bitten by a spider he grew muscles, got spider senses and was a good fighter from the start but 'Homecoming' felt like Spider-Man on L plates and as a longtime fan of the comic books he didn't feel like Spider-Man. Another problem was it didn’t seem hard to tell he was a boy and in the comic books even when he was in his early years a lot of people thought he was a grown man when he had the suit on and then you had Spider-Man always mocking the supervillains and running circles around them which is why most of them always called him a wise guy. I also felt like they made Peter Parker’s overly geeky and Peter Parker was always geeky in the comic books but never to that extent especially when in costume and he was able to switch to being more heroic and was more of a leader when he worked with other superheroes in the comic books and he was very different too when he was with Black Cat. I thought Michael Keaton was good but the worst thing about the movie was what they did to Shocker and he was nothing like Shocker at all and the only thing in common they had was the name and Michael Keaton killed the first person who had it and I have been wanting to see Shocker in a movie for years ‘cause I thought he would be great but their version was awful. I would actually say Shocker was one of the worst adaptions of a villain I have seen on screen.
What happened to Shocker's yellow costume that allowed him to send out shockwaves and gave him special abilities? In the comics and video games he has a number of special abilities thanks to his costume such as increased speed, strength and intensity and he can use air blasts to launch himself high in the sky when he was being chased by Spider-Man? Sorry but I just wasn't a fan but it wasn't horrible. It just wasn't Spider-Man to me.
Fair enough. Yeah Im not crazy about spider-man being younger than the avengers either. Shocker...that was shocking...pun intended..shockingly bad. Furthermore, the dceu had to copy that with the Flash. Yeah. I loved the Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst movies and wish Sony had given Sam Rami more time to finish the script for 'Spider-Man 4' 'cause I think that could have ended up being a really good movie and I also loved the 'Spider-Man 1, 2 and 3 and 'The Amazing Spider-Man' video games but I wasn't a fan of 'Homecoming' and I didn't particularly like 'The Amazing Spider-Man 1 and 2' either but some people do so each their own. I also think Peter Parker's main love interest should always be Mary Jane and I prefer Gwen Stacy as SpiderGwen. We just watched the new 'Thor' movie and we enjoyed that a lot more than 'Spider-Man: Homecoming.' There were some silly parts that I felt were completely out of place in moments that should have been more serious but overall I thought it was a good movie.

I am dumbfounded by the animosity towards it because I really enjoyed the film. But what do I know? I can even find something enjoyable in the prequels. I liked the ending to Apes, because as a fan of the original Planet of the Apes, it perfectly set things up for that film. I haven’t seen ‘The Last Jedi’ yet and I am going to buy it when it comes out on DVD here later this month but I just wanted to say I have seen all the ‘Star Wars’ prequels and never understood the hate for them either and to be honest, I don’t recall there being anywhere near as much hate for them when they first came out apart from some people not liking Jar Jar Binks but even he was pretty popular at the time with children and Jar Jar Binks merchandise sold good here. Most people I know liked the prequels and a lot of critics praised them too and it kinda reminds me of 'Batman: Forever' which a lot of people loved in 1995 but hated after 'Batman & Robin.' I liked 'Revenge of the Sith' the most and seeing how Anakin become Darth Vader. The lightsaber battle at the end where he got burned was good too.

I like all three, though the dialogue between Hayden Christensen and Natalie Portman were really stiff. But overall they were enjoyable films. The Last Jedi was ok. Enjoyed the Force Awakens more, though.

I think it might be 'cause it is considered 'cool' to hate on certain things and some people who like the movies will say they are bad 'cause there are other people saying it and they go with the flow. I have seen a lot of hate for 'The Last Jedi' too but I am looking forward to seeing it and seeing Luke Skywalker again.

Whenever there's a popular movie, tv show, personality, app, etc there will be always be those who'll hate. Perhaps they just have a different opinion, or they want to appear different because they don't want to "follow the herd/blind masses".

I don't mind people disliking something. What bothers me is when people who dislike something put down people with a difference of opinion and feel they need to force them to change their minds.
Whatever happened to live and let live?

I, one time had an argument on the old imdb boards with someone about tfa v the prequels. Eventually i said the blue balls in the phantom menace were much more interesting than anything TFA (a new hope II) had to offer. Unsurprisingly he disliked that comment and quit the argument haha

Tobey wasn't perfect but I think he was good in the role and Kirsten Dunst was good too and was very attractive. I have seen her naked. I wasn't a big fan of 'The Amazing Spider-Man' 'cause I thought it was too dark in tone for a 'Spider-Man' movie and there were parts where I was watching it where I felt like I was going to fall asleep but I really enjoyed 'The Amazing Spider-Man' video game that took place in between the two movies and I think it was one of the best superhero video games ever made and was majorly underrated. I would have liked 'The Amazing Spider-Man' more if it had been based on the video game.

I've known Kirsten since she was a child actress. It would be weird, I think, to see her naked.

In fact, it is quite delightful but with Kirsten I have seen a lot of her movies over the years and I think more about movies like 'Spider-Man', 'Bring It On', 'Crazy/ Beautiful', 'Mona Lisa Smile', 'Get Over It' and 'Melancholia' than the roles she was in when she was a kid like 'Interview With the Vampire' and 'Jumunji' now.

Just the overall darkened tone and the characters. I can't describe it at the moment but it was just missing something the other movies had and it had it in the video games but not in the movie and I liked the feel of the other movies more. I was also more used to seeing Tobey as Spider-Man at that point and didn't think they should have rebooted or changed actors. 'Spider-Man 3' may have been disappointing but I believe Sam could have turned it around with a fourth movie.

Wonder why your thread got deleted. Can't think of anything about it that was offensive.

Yes! Bring me their heads especially the traitor moderator who was a former member of the 'Arrow' board. Looking at the shape of the DCEU I don't think there is much reason for war 'cause the ship has already sunk apart from 'Wonder Woman' and it is going to take a lot for them to fix that while the 'Arrowverse' for better or worse stands tall and shows like 'Gotham' are light years ahead in quality but I do hope they are able to pick things up for all fans.
